NOTE: This is strictly experimental, not an official seeding mechanism
Duels and other data about swords participants since last year's madness tourney.
Information includes regulation duel records, challenge performance and talon / wlt
finishes. Regulation records are self explanatory, other items are as follows:
Talon and WLT: 1 point for 1st place finish. 1/2 point for 2nd.
Challenge and Test fights: Any title duel will qualify as one of these. If a title or
right to challenge is directly impacted by the fight, it counts as a challenge. If it
is not, then it is a test. (Best of 3 matches still only count once). As an example:
Rand challenged Claire for Overlord and Jesse stepped in to test him. Rand wins the ToW.
Jesse is marked as 1 loss in tests since she had nothing on the line. Rand had his right
to go forward on the line, so gets 1 win in the challenge category. Rand then goes on to
fight Claire and wins that as well. That fight is counted in the challenge category for both.
End result is Rand is set to 2-0 in challenges, Jesse 0-1 in tests and Claire 0-1 in challenges.
Column headers starting with "C-" are challenge stats. "T-" are test stats.
Column headers starting with "H-" are Hydra related (dos only). Wins, Losses and PointDiff.PerDuel (PD)
MRW stands for Madness Rounds Won. This is from the last tourney. A dash ( - ) means they did not participate.
By default only characters entered in Madness and not yet drafted to divisions appear. Add ?all=1
to the page URL to see everyone with a duel or event this year.

Rank Points
Rank is calculated at 5 * Rank. (Commoner = 0, Swordsman = 5, M@A = 10, etc.)
Sitting Overlord is awarded an additional 5 points.
Regulation Dueling
Require 1 duel per month (so, 12 duels) for full value, using a multiplier of
(wins+losses)/12 with a cap of 100%. Determine win rate as wins/(wins+losses) minus
50% so that positive rates are worth positive points and negative rates are worth
negative points. Multiply win rate * multiplier and award 20% of the resulting
percentage.
Challenge and Test Duels
Add challenge and test values together with test duels being worth 75% of
challenges and determine an adjusted win rate. Reduce value by 50% to
normalize down, then further scale based on number of combined duels
fought to require 3+ for full value:
Adjust by percentage of reasonable required duel count ( 5 ) and
Award 15% of adjusted WinRate to total
Hydra Points
Points are based on the person's points per duel rating from Hydra in
proportion to how many duels they fought. Since 3 seems to be the most
duels fought we use 3 for full value.
• 1 duel: PPD @ 33%
• 2 duels: PPD @ 66%
• 3 duels: PPD @ 100%
Madness of Prior Year
Points awarded are: Rounds won -1, multiplied by 1.5.
Those who were not in it get no points +/-, while those who lost in Round 1
take a -2 penalty.
Talon and WLT Points
Talon points = Column value * 2
WLT points = Column value * 5
