"They did WHAT?!"

Fury raged through the windows to the soul of Titan, Incorporated's Chief Executive Officer. Powerful hands clenched, he ready to take the matter at hand into them.

"Y..yes sir, the science department h..has rep..p..ported a definite overextension of..of.." Poor Jenkins stammered helplessly, mentally defeated by the overbearing grasp of his superior. Much like the evil leaders of tale and legend, the anger alighted within the clean-cut company leader spoke of a definite willingness to dispatch the messenger of bad news in a most painful fashion.

Pain indeed shot quickly through the coward's face, leaving him to blubber under a table as his attacker stormed out. Still alive, but for how much longer?

The lab door burst open with a horrible, resounding crash. It was all he could do to force the fear back down his throat, reeking of fatalistic thoughts. As soon as the question of who was in charge was raised, he needed not look up to sense several fingers lift in his direction. Nary a word was needed for the executive's actions; a few quick strides, hands wrapped around his chin and skull. A quick twist guaranteed the scientist would never hear
the warning spoken: "No more mistakes." Nor would he be able to sympathize with the one cursed with promotion. But, at least, he was free.

The third day passed. Goon sat in the abandoned castle, blanket wrapped around his brawny shoulders, shivering. This feeling, cold, was new to him. He hungered, but so scared of his situation, he could not bring himself to move. What else could happen to him? It was ok during the fighting.. but so quickly, he ended up freezing. Was that ice that had formed on his hands? It looked a little like the stuff that was on Nova during his match with
Shanni. Gone now.. had his vision been better, perhaps Goon would have noticed the pale blue tone his skin had taken. Instead, he sat, cold and alone, a child in a man's body, deep in wilderness ruins.
