Baronial Challenge

Bapheloc, Overlord, Barons, and Baronesses of DoS,

I have come forward to place a challenge for the first Baron's ring of DoS, a ring I have not yet had the pleasure of holding.
Bapheloc - You know why I must make this challenge. After our battles in the recent Warlord's tourney, while I resented the frustration I felt at not having a tie-breaking match with you, I understood your decision. My past in terms of holding a baron's ring is checkered at best.
I understood your decision indeed, and I respected it. I expressed little or no discontent and I even lacked a desire to challenge you once I learned of Kaprielle's own standing challenge.
However, your actions on Monday, September 1st have surprised, outraged, and finally disgusted me. I admired the way you held your ring during your short tenure as a Baron, but your actions that night were reprehensible.
You announced your retirement. Your retirement. The single thing you feared or said you feared if I were to hold a ring again. You weren't man enough to take being a Baron, it would appear. And so I challenge you for your ring, a man I once respected and admired as a worthy dueler and skilled friend. Let you fight at least once more before you retire your ring with feckless ingratitude.
I will fight you Wednesday if you defeat Kaprielle in your challenge match with her. I am sorry that your career in DoS has come to this.
