Retiremental Renig (Cass)

Friends, RDI's (who are also my friends), and other patrons of DoS,

Under much consideration, I have decieded to stay in Rhydian and continue my role as a baron of DoS. I've realized that in becoming a preist I would limit myself, and by limiting myself I would be less effective in my cause of teaching. No matter how many masses I gave homilies at a small town church, I could never reach as many people as I am position to reach now as the 13th loyal baron of DoS. I'm sorry for the false start, and for the false
hope of a new prize in the tourney, but, what can I say? ::grins as he writes:: I'm baaaa'ck.
Your understanding is appreciated.

Sincerely,
Sir Leo Caius Cassius Pride
13th loyal baron of DoS.

Tho, I can't say I'm too happy about having less of a chance for a ring... ::chuckling::

::reading over the post, Jaycy arches a brow::

<m> I wonder if he can just do that... we'll just haveta see, I guess...

::wanders away, with a thoughtful expression on her face::

( I hate to say it... but nope, this isn't a post. )

Hmm,

Does this mean I have to give him back the ring? ::grins:: I suppose he'll just have to defeat me in a duel for it.

::Walks by the boards and makes his way through the posts::

::Mumbles to himself:: I wonder how he can give the ring up and walk off, then come outta the blue to take it back....hm....

::Walks off thinking that he shouldn't get it back::

::in a bold writing, yet feminine hand the following appears::

Cassius,

I'm sorry to inform you of this, but I believe you are up the proverbial creek in this matter.
You chose to retire the ring and it has been offered as a prize in the tourney. No other Baron has ever been allowed to simply reclaim a ring that they retired.

Point blankly.. start collecting your peer wins again and prepare to challenge the soon-to-be new Baron.

Okay gang.

::still happy::

I never sent the letter to Golden. It was never official. I never even left, infact its only been four days since I made the post. However, I am informed by Helix that in sending it to her, it was official and is now in the tourney. So, I'm sorry for the mix up. No hard feelings (for there are none here) and I'll see you in the tourney.

Sorry again.

Hmm...a change in rank allowing the use of more fancies is not considered official until the standings are posted. From how I understand it, this is also true of WarLords advancing to Baron status. Strange that a retirement does not work the same way apparently.
