My gratitude to all who have offered support, encouragement, congratulations, and well wishes. I am humbled by the honor bestowed upon me and I will do my utmost to continue the legacy of the fifth, if not always by sheer skill, then by my respect for all who have strived for its glory: win or lose.
Scad, Khrys, Gryphn, and Reiver did an outstanding job and I thank them for taking the time out to organize and run such a momentous event and do it so successfully.
Warlord Tournies are always something special in that no matter our politics, our personal stances, or our allies and enemies, we meet in those rings as peers and we give nothing short of courtesy and recognition for ranks well deserved!
I entered these rings many years ago when Siera Redwin had just ascended the Overlordship and I will remember forever and foremost the thrill of the arena: the sights, the sounds, the tenacity of those who fought, and fought well.
I was never a prolific dueler, finding one or two duels a week to be wearing enough, especially when I was always getting outsmarted by the likes of GoldenLyon and Daze (and Kalamere, and Siera, and Simini, and BINZO, and Maloria...) I remember clearly, though, that to be a Warlord was something I wanted very badly, and if hope of hopes were granted, perhaps I might win a Barony.
I do not want to make this a post about reminiscing, but I do want to, perhaps, share why I am so very honored and ecstatic about the tourney's outcome. Oh, and avoiding assimilation was a plus, as well.
My thanks again, to everyone who has been so supportive of me and and my achievement.
