Ego? Ego? Is that what he said? If ye have such a big ego, Sir Heartsong, why do ye insist on hiding behind others? Ok enough with the questions, lets get down to facts, bare, meager, simplistic facts. Last night ye said that ye aim to be Overlord..and then ye told me personally that ye didn't care what the hell Lord Dalamar heard ye say about that..Tonight ye said, and I quote..well maybe not quote ::slight grin because he knows everyone will pick

Who said that wins don't necessarily indicate skill? I don't know, but I'm not searching through this pile again. Whoever it was, they're right. After all, ask anyone who's seen me fight. I could whip this guy in a heartbeat.

Basically, Jake was asking to be jumped on, when he posted that. However, I think that criticizing someone's inflated ego only works if he isn't proud of it. There are probably other duelers who have even bigger egos, but don't state it explicitly, and so aren't attacked.
I've seen Jake in the arena a few times this week, and even dueled him once (actually, he whipped me, 5.5-0 in 7). He didn't seem like someone with that enormous an ego, though he stated to that effect a few times. Having a big ego isn't so bad, provided that you don't look down on others, and insult or mistreat them. Consider it to be a form of good self-esteem, which, as Var mentioned, improves dueling.
By the way, Jake, I'd like to lessen that ego a bit, by rematching you, if we meet again in the arena/annex.
