A somewhat torn and wet piece of napkin sticks to the board, it reads....
I saw two warriors fight for the right to wear a baron's ring this night. The challenger, Walker Boh, and the baron, Roland Sal Roa. This is what happened.
Center Ring, 1:
The Baron and the Warlord start off slow, each gauging the other...
Their advances slow, there blades poised to attack...
With the sound of rolling thunder the Baron and the Warlord sweep high and hard
trying for first blood!! But none is drawn the fist pass...(HC?HC)
Center Ring, 2:
Recoiling from the clashing blades, both warriors hold their positions.
The Warlord feints a sweep low, drawing the Baron into a fanciful low parry...
But at the last moment the Warlord pull his strike up short, twirling a
fancy circle parry of his own. Still no Blood!!
Center Ring, 3:
The two warriors step away and open the distance for a moment, each watching
for the first hint of a movement. The Warlord back steps once more, the Baron rushes forward. Leveling Salsinger, the Baron thrust forward, hard and fast looking for blood!
But the Warlord is prepared, leveling his blade and a flick of his wrist
to turn the thrust back on the Baron for first Blood!!
(Th/Sh) 1-0 Walker after 3.
Center Ring, 4:
Once again they break apart, waiting...watching...But the wait is a short one for the warriors as they both move forward together..
All thoughts of pain aside, the Baron sweeps low, opening a brutal wound on the
Warlord's thigh...The Warlord returns a strike, cutting deep into the Baron's shoulder!!
Blood Abounds!!
(Lc/Hc) 2-1 Walker after 4 rounds.
Center Ring, 5:
Ignoring their wounds, the warriors each look to outmaneuver the other...
The Warlord levels his blade, the Baron matches...
A timely feint from the Warlord draws the Baron into a back step, twirling his
blade low and across in a fancy parry. But the feint is a feint as the Warlord drops back himself into a stop hit position. (Fcp/Sh)
Center Ring, 6:
The Baron brings the Salsinger out of the parry, stepping to the side as he looks
for an opening. The Warlord keeps his blade level for the moment, a few steps the opposite way as he looks for an opening....
A quick advance by the Baron causes the Warlord to choice defense this exchange, his broad blade rolling over and around, then low and across.
Meeting the incoming low sweep from the Baron and turning the cut away! The
Baron barely maintains a grip on his blade!!
(Fcp/Lc) 3-1 Walker after 6 rounds.
Center Ring, 7:
The Baron regather, regroups and recenters, waiting patiently for the Warlord to
make a move. The Warlord does the same, each waiting for the other to make the first mistake. The Baron's eye's light up as the Warlord steps forward, the blade dropping low...
The Warlord continues with the feint, causing the Baron to twirl his blade low and
across in a fancy parry. The Warlord follows the movement, dropping to the ground, rolling to the side and straightens, his blade leaving a wound on the Baron's ankle!!
(Fcp/Fdu) 4-1 for the Warlord after 7 rounds!
Center Ring, 8:
Both warriors take a moment to catch their breaths...
The Warlord's eyes burn with the thought of victory, the Baron merely waiting and
wanting to save his blood....The Baron steps forward, long blade raised. The Warlord takes this as a sure sign as he levels his blades and thrust forward, hard and fast!!
But the Baron has feinted the cut, instead spinning the Salsinger across and
upwards knocking the incoming attack aside!!
(Th/Flp) 4-2 Walker still leads after 8 rounds.
Center Ring, 9:
The Warlord steps back to regain a good grip on his blade. The Baron gives a
sigh of relief as he keeps the duel going...Each begins a slow counter circle of the other, the steps short, eyes on each other...In haste the Warlord moves forward, his blade dropping downwards....The Baron reads the feint, a few more steps to the side as his whole body drops downwards in a ducking maneuver. But the feint turns to not to be one at all!! The Warlord sweeps in quickly his blade to strike the Baron on the shoulder as he attempts to
fanciful duck out of the way!!
Final....Walker Boh defeats Roland Sal, 5-2 in 9 rounds to take the 12th Baronial Ring.
That's how it was.....
Barackk~

Well and honorably fought Roland. I am glad that we were able to fight under such honorable conditions.
I wish to again thank the official, Barackk, all those who attended, and especially my second for the match and fellow druid, Marzan DeBurgo.
Since the official's posting of the matter did not mention my alignment, I shall mention here my standing of Renegade to our current Overlord, Dalamar Ar'Daumon.

Walker,
A finely fought match......tis good to see that your skills have not withered with time. You fought admirablly and the 12th shall wear well with you I believe.
Roland,
A finely attempted defense, you wore the 12th with honor while it was yours and you fought honorablly to defend it.

My thanks for the grand, honorable duel and kind words following, Baron. Good show.
Deepest thanks for your officiating, Barackk. I hope your first was memorible.
To those that were able to witness the duel; my pardons for not pushing a comeback into extra-rounds.
As for answers found during the journey to end my reign. Indeed, Lady Drake. I have gained more answers than I ever expected to. Thank you for the concern regarding them.
Good fortunes,
Roland Sal Roa
