You people are really sad. It was one thing to argue when the decision had yet to be made. Now, there is nothing at all you can do any longer, yet you continue to badger on and on about what the proper course of action should have been? Don't you have anything better to do with your time? Or will none of you that continue this be happy until the entire staff has followed Helix out the door?

::Pausing, savoring the personal irony of the final line before placing quill to parchment.::

It isn't as though this is a matter of life and death.

Well said Karye...

And believe it... I have little doubt that others besides Igor will follow Helix out the doors should this never-ending controversy not cease.
Where once, we were many, now we are few once more... and rumor holds that we shall not be getting any re-enforcements soon.
Respect is the key, as Ecore wrote.
Gods, even Jesse, K'yorl and Agrenish show respect to the staff and to the fact that a final decision has been made.

Well, Karye. This little game is over crowded with all this talk on challenges, overlord, barons, and etc. People get a thrill, I do believe of making a point. You know... a point. Being wise and making a good remark. It show intelligence. A man who doesn't write to these posts, is smart all together. But, a man that posts his opinions on arguments, gets more knowledge. People love to talk. I just
figured that out. Amazing. Wonderful. See, on the posts, you write something down, stick it to a wall, and everyone reads. Sometimes they write back. Giving opinions, whetther they are bad nor good. People wanna be liked, hoping for a good remark about them. Or, the thrill of posting something, that makes you feel good inside. Like you did a right thing. Like, you just posted something, didn't it make you happy when Drake said," Well said
Karye...." Eh? I know it makes me happy. Have fun, and don't mind what others do. If they wanna carry on these childesh arguments.. *Let It Be*. That should be our slogan. *Let It Be*

sincerely,

As she reads over the notes tacked up, she smiles a bit as she reads Kayre's.

Kayre,

Your words ring very true. Perhaps some will not be satisfied until the Duel of Swords is closed forever and or all the officials leave.

Collie

Reads further seeing this:

>> Gods, even Jesse, K'yorl and Agrenish show respect to the staff and to the fact that a final decision has been made.<<

Drake,

I noticed this.. Agrenish has never been disrespectful to me as least not that I recall. Jesse was quite polite the other night and K'yorl, to be honest I don't know his face.

Collie

>>Gentles,

Jona.

<<

As she reads the note tacked up by Jona, she stops cold and writes:

Jona,

This is true.. but it takes gutts to expose your arse to that fire in the first place.

It's easy for those that have never done the job to sit back and criticize those that do or have chosen to leave. Often when they do take the step and don the uniform of an official of the sport they find it's a grueling and usually thankless job.

When those who wish to complain about the service in the arena have each served at least two months and then after seeing life from the other side of the coin they will understand it's not all they believe.

Brushing shoulders with her old friend Collie as she tacks up a note, she slips a warm arm around Lady Lasher's shoulder; a soft smile lightens her face.

"Very well said, dear Colleen.", the angel's voice soft as she gave her a gentle squeeze, a playful gleem in her eyes.

"Isn't it odd how those with no experience seem quick to judge?", giggling at Collie with a hint of a wink.

Collie looks up in surprise seeing Cygnet, "GAH! Lass, ye startled me!! " She breaks into laughter at both her own surprise and using Helix's favorite phrase. "Aye, 'tis quite true."

Collie winces a bit as the child within her stirs and strikes her lungs with a well placed foot. "Well, I'm off, I've work later this eve." She gently hugs Cygnet. "Good ta see ye, lass. Me best ta Gnim."

She heads off to clean out her locker.

The commoner quirks a wry grin, penning a note, she tacks it to the board.

Colleen,

I know ye have exhibited a fetish for underdrawers and small clothes, but wanting to know where me arse hast been and when, that ist most interesting. Curiouser and curiouser.

Mutters under her breath, reading Jona's latest post. "Again, she avoids the point of the subject, turning it into an insult." Taking pen in hand, she posts a quick remark.

Jonalyn...
The fire will be rising soon...
I read your words... and by implication, I see the insult to my friends.
You may claim no insult is intended, but I see it clearly.
The fire will be rising soon.

Wanders past the board, pausing peruses Drake's blathering, yawns. Takes up her quill, pens a note tacking it to the board.

Drakey poo.

Ye are certes free to make of me words what ye like, Madame. There may be yet be a pair of Max's old specs behind the bar, ye might try them on for size. Ye wishing the ancient cavern to turn into some kind of ladies garden party, are ye? Open your eyes lass, look about ye, that's blood in those rings nae a puddle of Delilah's melted crayons.

Ast to any fire rising, lass, methinks ye canna find the torch, let alone the tinder, flint and steel to light it. Ast fer me, lass, methinks tis bootless to have a battle of wits with one who ist nae armed. What is it ye tell your 'students', Drakey poo? To rise in rank, duel only those ye know ye can best? Ist that the long and short of it?

Amusedly,
Jona.

Drake,

As my son, Will, would say, "You rock."

Collie

Jona,

Drake is right, you miss the point. My point, was those that never wore the uniform don't stick their arse in the proverbial fire in question. By your comment preaching to the choir, it gives one the impression that you served this sport from the other side of the fence.

As to undergarments.. I like 'em cleanand unless they belong to my husband, I care not to look. A lass must do her laundry after all.

Jonalyn.

You have -not- earned my friendship, so kindly do -not- refer to be by a name only a handful of my friends do.
Just because this is a sport where blood is spilled, does that mean everyone should simply disregard common courtesy and the basic forms of respect? It seems to me that is what you are saying.
I have withstood hotter fires and greater storms than this, and as for flames... The fire is already lit Jonalyn, and all your comments do is add to the fuel.
