Wisdom for now:
If Dalamar asked you to jump off a cliff:
A true Loyal would jump off immediately.
A Neutral would consider his own safety.
A Renegade would ask Dalamar to do it first.

Duchess of Navarra,

Tis odd thee wouldst thin' I wouldst wish thee ta hush, I quite clearly stated I wouldna. Ast ta iceskatin' 'pon frozen brimstone, lass, tis somethin' I hae already accomplished. Tis amusin' thee finds "threat" in me missive, for t'was it nae ye th' didst attempt ta' present an ultimatum? I simply called thine bluff, madame.

Tis odd thee hae now moved from statin' th' a "mistake" wast made wi' regard ta th' matter 'o th' third ring ta admittin' tis somethin' th' community hast a right ta scrutinze. Indeed, th' Baroness shouldst be 'eld ta account fer 'er perfidy. Tis nae mechanism in place ta' call 'er ta account, after th' fact, more's th' pity.

Tis seemin' more an more th' challengers hae nae th' fortitude ta place 'pon th' ancient cork their bonafides when makin' challenge. Tis certes none canst compel them ta' bu' tis somethin' I do take inta account. Mayhap a sign 'o more wh' be fallin' away from one 'o th' long established traditions 'o these ancient rings? T'was a time when anna warlord wast proud ta announce challenge an bonafides 'pon th' cork. T'was a time when th' challenge wast
announced ast bein' valid an permitted ta' commence. Tis seemin th' tradition also be fallin' by th' wayside.

Ast ta th' matter 'o th' Overlord, tis he hast nae anna need ta inform ye, nor meself nor th' community, nor annaone save th' official callin' th' match an those 'e so chooses ta hae privy ta 'is decisions in th' matter 'o Seamus' challenge beyond wh' 'e hast already. If ye aire so lackin' in wit ta understand th', far be it from me ta attempt ta' enlighten ye.

Should th' Overlord wish ta, ast he seems ta hae already done, offer th' bes' 'o three ta Seamus, he may do so. Seamus hast chosen ta decline th' offer, ast 'e ist free ta. Shouldst Dalamar now choose ta offer a single duel or ta test Seamus hast nae affect 'pon th' community ast a whole. Unlike th' matter 'o th' Baroness Jaycynda Ashleana's challenge, Seamus' challenge hast been made mos' publicly, 'is bonafides placed afore th' community, an 'e
hast presented 'is reasons an 'is stance 'pon th' corkboard for all ta' see.

Kalamere hast released Dalamar from 'is oath, an if ye know annathin' atall about Kalamere ye wouldst certes know he dinna do such without thinkin' th' matter through. A wise leader dinna reveal 'is strategies ta th' enemy aforehand, Madame, th' be th' crux 'o th' matter.

Meanwhile, Madame...Shug, shug sassenach, Oh orchs krek sa hanik, neh?

Thee were nae there, thee were nae requested by me 'usband ta do annathin' Thou wert, however, ast wast Sidartha an manna others 'o little wit an less intelligence, taken in by th' rantin's 'o th' impostor, th' Dae-Heru, he th' sought ta' slay me darlin' husband an take o'er th' kingdom 'o Westridge. Fickle policies, Var? Explain this. As of yet, none of us has seen whether or not Dalamar will change his policy, as the Challenge is not until Wednesday. One would hope that you would realize that just because the topic of a possible policy change is discussed, it does not mean that the policy has been changed. Furthermore, one would hope that you wouldn't think that because a few Barons have offered their
blades in service, that that means that Dal has accepted.

Perhaps we should wait before making judgements.

I'll be brief.

Though Lady Nenshen doesn't wish to have a taste of her own medicine, I suggest we just drop it. Luthien's had enough pain regarding this and she doesn't need to see the past come up on her again. While I enjoy watching the Lady Nenshen stubmbling on her own tounge, this should really stop.

Luthien knows the truth of why she will never get to see her son again, and Tristan knows (I hope) why he'll never hear his mother sing him to sleep at night again. That is all that matters.

Sid,
For reference, I underlined the above text from your own words. Let's dissect a little.

Part A: Explanation of Dalamar's fickle policies.
Dalamar has already changed his policy, as soon as Kal turned baron. He changed from testing barons to no testing barons just to satisfy Kal. Whether or not he'll do it again will be seen Wednesday.
I guess I should be mad at myself for not bringing the limbo stick, since I never would have thought Dal would bend over backwards like that just to get another loyal.

Part B: Dal's acceptance of someone's blade.
Where did I say that Dal accepted someone's blade? I said if Dal wanted to, he could. I believe it is you who is thinking ahead, as opposed to waiting till Wednesday.

Part C: Let's wait before making judgements
I believe it was you, Sid, who made a remark about Avery changing alignment. What was it? Oh yeah, it was about seeing how long it would be until he changed alignment again.

Now I won't be going back and forth constantly like I used to do, and I've put in my opinion and explained it when questioned. That's all I'm going to say.

A fine standard I must agree Sidartha. Pity it wasn't employeed when Huma never got the opportunity to break his oath. Since his match with Dal was deemed forfeit and no rematch was scheduled the action was judged before it took place.

Jeffery,

I donnae now, nor hae I ever, claimed tha' Dalamar has broken an oath. He did enter into an agreement wi' Kalamere which served both of them. Through this agreement, Dalamar earned for himself another Loyal, which -- if you recall -- greatly benefitted him in the last council of Barons. During the Barons reign, Dalamar di' adhere to his word and not one Baron was tested in the ring. Both got their wishes. Now, Kalamere has been relieved of the ring
and Dalamar, his obligation to Kal. There is no deceit by the Overlord, merely a well timed decision by Dalamar to woo a loyal Baron. Some hae construed Dalamar's posted policy one way, some another, each accordin' tae thier own leanin'. Bu' the simple fact o' the matter is tha' should he wish tae test me, he will find a way. A determined man will always find one, an' Dal is noethin' if noe brilliant an' resourceful. How can a man's word be broken if
the one tae whom he swore releases him from his vow? Wha' I find curious, 'tho, is that yew, yuirself are sayin' tha' for Dalamar ta test me in the ring would be tae break his word, yuir own leanin's bein as they are.

Politics present tae each person a twisted path wi' manna forks in the road. Yew hae questioned my honor, an' even called me coward o'er my chosen path o' refusal o' the best o' three. Had it been annaone but yew, Jeffery Oakenshield, they might consider themselves in mortal danger. But yew hae shown more loyalty, fealty an' love for yuir friend than annaone I've seen for many a day, an' I respect yew for tha'. Tis for this reason alone tha' I will
take the time tae gi' ye a bit of an explanation. First, an' most importantly, I donnae think it cowardly tae refuse an offer of a best o' three or even a sip o' tea, if'n I amnoe thirsty. I am aware tha' it has never been done before, an' this matter may be tha' which makes yew blink, yet there is noe cowardice in this refusal. Second, how wise do yew think twould be tae meet him thus? Would yew hae a ninny in a duncecap don the crown o' Overlaird?
D'yew think I challenge him for the simple pleasure o' a dance? I mean ta win the battle, Jeffery, an' if part o' tha' is due ta strategy, I'd be a fool noe to plan. Yew are well aware tha' Dalamar goes into even a one match challenge with an advantage.
So Jeffery, can ye tell why I should play into the his hand?

::after tacking up his response to G!'s chastizement of him he posts another.::

To ALL who will read this:

Through all this stack of bantering and arguing a few points are threaded throughout. The foremost being Seamus' alleged attempt to "trap" Dalamar. And Jeffries allegations to Seamus that a "single duel can be won on LUCK alone" Both of which I COULD NOT agree with in any stretch of tha
imagination.
Dal; in my humble opinion lost his right ta have a "best of three" match when he failed to show. His failure ta show is not the sole reasoning though, Not only did he fail to show but he failed ta send word prior to tha match of his inability ta be there. Many showed expecting ta see tha challenge and none got what they expected. It has been posed ta me that "havn't ya ever missed an appointment?" and to that I answer YES! BUT; and this is a big
BUT, whenever and wherever possible I have made prior arrangements or sent word of my inability ta follow through, out of respect and common descency. By failing to do so and then jumping to a defensive stance the overlord; to many, was admitting guilt and trying to dig out of a hole that he fell into.
Not only this but it took an "agreement" with another to get him out of it in a matter that was beneficial to HIM and without regard to Seamus, who is now the ridicule of all the SHEEP that blindly follow Dal.
Surely I DO have my reasons for speaking out now against the overlord and for backing both Seamus and AJ in their recent stands.
SEAMUS, brother, Should there be a test of worthiness and the naming of a champion by Dal I would honor standing beside you and do all that I can to aid ya in yer quest. and as I haf stated before WHEN ys gain yer rightfull title as Overlord, and I believe that ya WILL attain that goal, I will step out of my Baronial seeking retirement and do all in my power ta stand as one of yer LOYALS.

" SO IT IS WRITTEN SO SHALL IT BE DONE!"

To all that I have called friend, and that is many of you! do not let this anger you or turn away from the friendship and brotherhood or sisterhood that we have shared. I make no claims nor do I make any attacks on any of you.

Heath,

If ya hadn't noticed, and maybe ya haven't, da challenger is Seamus, not Huma. Dalamar's not showing, and his ensuin' punishment are OVER WITH. Time ta move on Heath, not only in yer views of Dal, but in yer anger with him fer supportin' Ulath Fici over ya when ye two did fight. Time ta get over yer grudge already man. You call US Loyals sheep, yer da one who is blind. Yer blind with rage, ya will seemingly ferever hate Dalamar, and speak out
against him and all his supporters without cause.

Again I say ta ya, its a whole new challenge, don't talk about da Huma challenge, Dalamar was served his punishment by da council and dat matter is concluded, let us try and move on. And I do hope one day ya let go of yer anger fer Dal. I believe ye were angered dat ya lost yer ring; Dal had nothin' ta do with it, since ye didn't ask him ta defend ya.
