Hear ye hear ye, lords and ladies of Rhy Din Towne.
I did once again have the honor to bear witness to a test between champions. This was the defense of the 10th ring by Baron Var Medici-Giovanni and the challenge by the Warlord Agrenish Preescott. Particulars to the event are below.
The Baron was dueling with the metallic silver clashing over the ocean blue colors... Noelle , his bride was as always, his Lady of Honor. Noble, his son, stood as his second. The blade he wielded was a rapier and was named Fallen Crew.
The Warlord dawned the colors of the astral vortex. It held the scene in which the attacking chickens of Pantharr descend upon a helpless castle below. The astral vortex is behind. His weapons were two dueling daggers, one of which is named Greenspot, the other was named Dienasty, One was a replacement for a recently broken dagger
Round 1)The duel begins with two tenative moves, a stop hit by the Warlord and a fancy side step by the Baron.
Round 2)The Baron sees the weaker high cut of the warlord coming in and thrusts under it for a point.
Round 3) The Baron turns and exquisite and fancy round parry which the Warlord fancily ducks below to tie the match at 1 each
Round 4)Both Baron and Warlord step in, blades extended and thrust for mutual points and the match is tied at two.
Round 5) Opposing cuts by each man, Baron high, Warlord low, score yet another for each duelist and the match remains a tie, now at 3.
Round 6) Baron Medici-Giovanni reverses the cut and his low flung rapier catches the Warlord before he can execute his fancy version of the sidestep. Point to the Baron, he now leads 4-3
Round 7) The rarely successful tri-cut from the Baron, catches the Warlord stationary as he tries to time the stop hit. The rapier connects high and the Baron successfully defends the 10th Baronial ring.
Witnessed this 13th day of December within the Basement Annex of the Red Dragon Inn's, Duelers Arena

I would like to extend a few words of appreciation.
First of all, I want to thank Nycholas again for his superb calling, and agreeing to officiate on such short notice.
I would also like to thank Agrenish, for dueling well, as he always does.
Last, and definately not least, I want to thank old friends for attending, and my precious wife and first son.

Allright, but the soonest time possible is about three months from now. I ain't here no more, sent in my 'retirment' notice last night. Soemthings wrong with me, I ain't pounding people no more, I'm losing to Varro, and things like this don't happen. So people around me must finally be getting to my head. Best solution? Leave the damn people and get things right. I'm going to my real home, I'm going to snatch a few purses, hit a few people, drink
some good stuff then come back for glory's sake alone, wopping and watching and give you people a teaching once I relearn myself.
To tell you the truth, this place kinda sucks. I'm going back home where people are just as mean but they don't tr yto hide it. Ya know? A deep intranced masqurade to comprehend a facade, by the poets word.
As for Varro... bleh, I'll get my licks in.
I hope you enjoy your misery together! I'm off to have real fun.

Sir Agrenish!
I, for one, will miss thy acerbic temperament if ye truly decide ta take a vacation. I shall look forward to thy return, for I still have need of a match with thee! (Has to do with Lord Valmion's Questrion Tourney in which ye trounced me well!)
Faire ye well, and I wish thee good fortune!

Shame on most of you. Yes you may find faults with Agrenish as a person, but the lose of his skill in our arena is bad. While we dont want the newer generations looking up to the behavior of him, his skill was very fine indeed. The loss of such should be mourned. Yes we may be glad that he is gone, but even with the good, bad comes, and i only hope you realize this.

Come now, you must realize that this place is akin to a black hole. You can never truly leave.
Anyway, have fun and come back soon. Though your personality is grating most of the time, at least you've got the talent to back up the mouth you've got. It is such a rare thing here.

Aggy,
As much as you annoyed some people and some people may have hated you, you will be missed.
I think what I'll miss most is you ability to say what you feel and what you mean without holding back for fear of what someone might say. We need more of that around here and with you gone it will be missed. Good luck in your travels.
