Will do, Perci. Wrote it on a whim, actually.
1. There are differences between a fistfight and a swordfight, but how do they affect politics? I am curious.
It doesn't really effect politics. That statement was made to show why the DoF should not be put up there with the DoS.
2. It doesn't have enough interest? Now, I am not a competitor int he DoF, but while it has fewer devotees its devotees seem to be both more responsible and more devoted and interested. Rightly or wrongly, they often champion it above the DoS.
That still doesn't give them enough interest, Perci. Sure they have a core group of duelers, so does the DoS, but they don't have the numbers. We have more Warlords than I wish to count, while the DoF has barely 20 Emeralds, half of which rarely duel. We had to discontinue the Tag Team Brawling League because of lack of interest in both DoF and TTBL. Where as the TDL has over ten teams and a lot more devoted duelers.
3. After explaining why there is no politics, you state that it does have a certain amount of politics and that is why you quit. It seems to contradict the rest of your statement.
The politics in the DoF aren't based on the rings, but respect and image. No matter what sorta record you have, if you duel or act differently than another, you aren't respected... now that is my point of view, and I'm not saying everyone in the DoF is out to get your style or anything, I'm just saying from experience. The DoS has a certain amount of this but when it comes right down to it; either you win or you don't.
And as I said before, no allignment, no politics.
So the post wasn't really illogical, just uniformative. And since you don't have much DoF experience, it is understandable.

So, Fala, what sorta politics does the DoF has? Either you are in or your not, because it is easy as pie to challenge or claim the Diamond if your brawling skill is there. No political skill involved.
So I tell you this: The DoF, the game, has no politics. The community of the DoF is the root of politics, the little politics it may have.

My two cents be that ta Fists done be a different fish than ta swords. It nae hae a Baron's Council nor a means that ta Over Lord can defend with loyals. In fact, I may be wrong, and that be often when I nae speak on these things with me Jeff first, but ta Fists hae a concept of loyal or renegade. I nae say it be right or wrong but it be a fact.
Now Collie luv, there be politics in every thing. It be part of ta swords from ta day ta first council convened, and it nae be a bad thing. It just be there, and if ya nae like it - then ya get yaself and some like minded swords ta take over.
But I do take exception ta those that get their panties all in a bunch and sling around insults like Marcus tossing out ta sludge that gathers at ta bottom of ta ale barrel. That nae be politics, that just be throwing tantrums. And like most tantrums, they do be boring and repetitious; frankly - I nae hae much time for it meself.

Wow, 102 posts under this subject since I last came. Just out of curiosity, why is it that everytime someone posts a challenge does everyone takes that as meaning, "let's fight?" I haven't been here long, but every challenge post I've seen has immediatly resulted in people taking sides and tearing at each other. It just seems kinda childish. Granted, I didn't read all 102 posts, mainly because I don't have the time or want to do so, but what could

I haven't been here long, but every challenge post I've seen has immediatly resulted in people taking sides and tearing at each other. It just seems kinda childish. Well, Mrnoth, speaking for myself, I challenged Morgan because I wanted to fight. I have the feeling that most people who make challenges, want to fight. I would say that when I challenged Morgan I was saying to her, 'Let's fight.'
Isn't that what a challenge is?

Well, Mrnoth, speaking for myself, I challenged Morgan because I wanted to fight. I have the feeling that most people who make challenges, want to fight. I would say that when I challenged Morgan I was saying to her, 'Let's fight.'
