'pon this day, I set mine hand tae r'cord th' events o' this night.

Marzan challenged th' O'erlord... an' Baron Sartan didst intercede... fer th' test o' worthiness.... Seamus.... didst step in on b'half o' Marzan...th' match:

Sartan: fss/fcp/hc/th/fcp/th/hc/flp/lc 4
Jakvaltraes: hc/sh/fdu/hc/fcp/th/lc/sh/hc 5

Thus earnin' Marzan th' right tae face Dalamar.

In a match unlike anna I haff been witness tae..... th' challenge didst last 28 rounds.

Dalamar: fss/fcp/th/lc/fcp/fss/cp/th/cp/th/fcp/hc/cp/hc/lc/th/lc/du/hc/cp/sh/lp/hc/lc/hc/du/lc/du 8
Marzan: sh/flp/lc/fdu/sh/fss/fcp/sh/du/sh/lp/hc/th/dis/cp/sh/lc/ss/sh/ss/cp/th/lc/hc/lc/ss/th/lc 9.5

After 19 months as th' reignin' O'erlord... Dalamar was bested by th' 'onourable challenge o' Eros.

Respectfully Submitted,

Lady Alais Graham d' Nitesong Sidhe

I was able to witness the match from afar and was amazed by the intensity of it all. Congratulations Marzan and may your reign be long.

As far as Dalamar, well no words can describe the turn of events and best we leave that at that for all conerned. He was one of the most skilled duelists to hold the crown and now we must move on to a new era of the community.

Very well fought, Overlord DeBurgo. Having not been there until the outcome is decided, I'll not say more about the match save that it is a very fitting way, in my eyes, for Dalamar to finally be defeated. He certainly shall go down as our greatest skilled Overlord.

I shall declare my alignment as Loyal once the standings indicate the completion of the challenge.

Well fought, to all, and congratulations to both the challenger and the skirt wearer who helped him through the test.

A noble reign Dalamar, you were an overlord for us all to be proud of.

To Eros, Dear friend and Now Overlord.

Congratulations, m'friend. I regret only that I was unable to attend, may your reign be long and honorable, and may history shine upon you as an Overlord and duelist without peer.

To Dalamar, Respected duelist, and admired from afar,

A finer tenure of Overlord has nae preceeded you. You most certainly will go down in the ranks of the finest men and duelists ever to grace a ring.

Marzan,

It was an incredible effort and an amazing turn of events. You did your best, as I told you to do before the match. You just tried to have fun. And your effort carried you through the greatest duel I have ever seen, and the greatest challenge I have ever witnessed. I am sure you will be challenged before long, and I am sure that you will do your best again. As long as you do so, you will be worthy, long reign or short. Well done.

To all,

The news seems to be that Dalamar is dead. If this is so, then he needs to be remembered as the great duelist and skilled politician he was. He should be honored and respected, whether you supported or opposed him. Whatever one thinks of his policies, he always did his best when he was in the ring. His last duel was one of his greatest. One of the greatest ever. My condolences go strongly to Sidartha, who is a worthy woman. May you find the
happiness you deserve.
May we all find happiness.

Very well done Overlord Eros. Your duel this night amazed even me (of course the length of the duel caused me to have a little more wine then I should have ::chuckles::). However I was sorry to see your victory end on such a sad note.

If Dalamar has truly departed from this life, may his next life be as great as this one. And may he alway be remembered by those whose lives he touched.

Congratulations Eros on a fine duel. Ye shall make a great Overlord I'm sure. I am just honored to have witnessed all of this duel, definitely one of the greatest ever. May your reign be long and may ye hold the crown with honor.

Dalamar was in my eyes the greatest Overlord to wield a blade. His amazing reign shall never be forgotten and it will serve as a standard for true greatness. It twas too bad that a night of joy such as the passing of the crown should have such a dismal finish. Dalamar will always hold a special place in the history of this sport.

Marzan, what can I say..the mantle of Overlord rests on shoulders well suited ta carry it. 'Twas a grand win thee wrested last eve.

Congradulations Lord Ar'Daumon, thou art freed at last, and by a duel ta be remembered for all time. Aside from the obvious skill, there is much more o' note ta thee than the mere longevity o' thy reign...no simple title holder thee. Enjoy thy well desairved rest.

Although not currently a Baron I will swear loyalty to an Overlord for the first time. Marzan, my old friend, please accept my blade in thy service.

It was an unforgettable battle by both combatants, and the result was surely unexpected.

I'm positive Dalamar is now content in wherever he now resides.

On a different note, the sun has risen again. The deeply entrenched politics and policies, the stereotypes of long-held Renegade and Loyal camps, are over. No Overlord will ever last as long again.

There is an entire generation that has known no Overlord except Dalamar. For those, I say it's not normally like this. Overlords, generally, last one to three months. Nineteen goes beyond comprehension.

I hope DoS can recover.
