::tacked to the board is a piece of parchment, stained with tears and written in a pain-filled scrawl::

My heart, I should have been there with you. I should have been by your side when you were in pain. No matter the reason for my absense, this stigma will be upon me forever. Wherever you are, beloved, I am so utterly sorry.

To the Community~

Love him or hate him, it matters not. He is gone. My heartfelt thanks go to those who have sent me their condolances, for I fear I would have gone mad from grief without those kind words of comfort.

Ever grateful, and praying that this tragedy will bring about the beginning of peace,
~Sidartha Elgarette

::below is written a poem::

Pure spirit! O where art thou now!
O whisper to my soul!
O let some soothing thought of thee,
The bitter grief control!

'Tis not for thee the tears I shed,
Thy sufferings now are o'er
The sea is calm, the tempest past,
On that eternal shore.

No more the storms that wrecked thy peace
Shall tear that gentle breast;
Nor Summer's rage, nor Winter's cold,
Thy poor, poor frame molest.

Thy peace is sealed, thy rest is sure,
My sorrows are to come;
Awhile I weep and linger here,
Then follow to the tomb.

And is the awful veil withdrawn,
That shrouds from mortal eyes,
In deep impenetrable gloom,
The secrets of the skies?

O, in some dream of visioned bliss,
Some trance of rapture, show
Where, on the bosom of thy God,
Thou rest'st from human woe!

Thence may thy pure devotion's flame
On me, on me descend;
To me thy strong aspiring hopes,
They faith, thy fervours lend.

Let these my lonely path illume,
And teach my weakened mind
To welcome all that's left of good,
To all that's lost resigned.

Farewell! With honour, peace, and love,
Be thy dear memory blest!
Thou hast no tears for me to shed,
When I too am at rest.

The angel bows her head in silent respect, sending private thoughts of love and comfort to Sid during this time of her painful loss.

The Druid, dressed in Midnight black, comes upon the tear stained note. Frowning sadly, he quickly summons a Messenger to his side and gives him an assignment.

A bit later, the messenger appears at the home of the grief stricken lady. He places a small rosewood box upon the doorstep. Within it contains a gilt framed copy of the Song of Dalamar... a song written for the Overlord by the Druid. The box also contains a personal note. It reads:
My Lady,
I cannot express to you the sorrow which I feel for the great man we all know as The Lord of the Dale. I have asked all of Swords to join me in praying for him. I have also dedicated my duels in his name, and asked all of Swords to join me in an official period of mourning. I have dedicated my Overlord's address to him as well. He was a great man, whom I always respected publically and privately. If there is anything I may do to help ease your
pain, you need but ask. I am at your service.
