Ok here's the deal people...

I have rechallenged for the fourth ring. Period. Why? I want it back, and I don't like the current baroness. Period. like it or not, nobody but her can do anything about it, the challenge has been validated and we currently await the baroness to decide when she wants to lose, which i expect her to take her sweet time.

In recent issues, I have allowed myself to learn something...that I have the right to insult people, which if anybody doesn't like my challenge, I most likely will insult whoever. I have a list of personal dislikes with the baroness, which she has already heard the brunt of them, no more need go public unless she wishes it. ::smiles to himsel:: Anyone insulting me, i fully plan to respond in kind, insult for insult. Seems to be the best way to get
through to anybody around here anymore. If somebody wants to support me, I say thanks.

I also want to say, I am not a nice guy. I reserve the right to change my mind at any givin time for anyreason what so ever. Should somebody wanna call me an oathbreaker...it's all a matter of an opionion. As i have stated, no matter what anyone thinks, there is nothing *anyone* but the baroness can do about it. So, have at me if you all wish, just don't get to ticked when I give the harsh realities back to you. New ages are dawning, and I look to
regain what I had lost, mainly for my own self pride and respect. I am at times humble, but this i feel will not be one of those. My preditions...I am going to slaughter the baroness, and quickly in the ring. I just wonder if she has the guts to make this challenge go by quickly, or if she shall try and hide for another full month under cowardly rules as she did in her last. With that said...lets get ready to party Morgan, you bring the prize, I'll
bring the cattle prod and some bandages for you.

Huma,

I think you are making more trouble for yourself again. You are putting yourself in a situation, my friend, where they will all jump on you again. It almost seems as if you are so certain people will be offended that you are deliberately being as offensive as possible. That really won't make things any better for you. I know, you don't want to hear any of it. But I am saying it because I am your friend.
The lecture being over and done with, I have only a handful of things left to say. Firstly, do your best and fight your best fight in there. Get your confidence back and stop second guessing yourself. Secondly, good luck. Some luck never hurts. Finally, I will be rooting for you. Mostly because you need someone to stick by you, and very few people seem inclined to.

Huma,

I'd like to have considered myself a friend. And if that is how you see it, then this may hurt a little. If it does, good, it is intended as such.

You are right. You are a jerk. And whether you admit it or not, it really has no positive effect on you or your career in these rings, from most anyone's point of view.

You may not care, but I do, and when you feel something other than your own caddle prod in your back, don't be suprised. I'm sure the Amethyst Ring is awaiting their moment to make a demonstration, and you seem to be setting yourself up.

Remember, this isn't about Loyals and Renegades anymore, my friend. This is about respect and honor, of which you seemed to have left out of your challenge.

On a side note, I believe your perception that insults get through to people is way off. You may insult me, but you're not going to change my views. If anything, you will just enhance my need to oppose you. Which is something that I don't think you will want from anybody.

"Finally, I will be rooting for you. Mostly because you need someone to stick by you, and very few people seem inclined to."

So what you are saying is that, since Huma is a friend, you will turn a blind eye to the way he presented challenge and his quest for HIS ring?

Funny, I thought you were the type to promote honor and sportsmanlike conduct within these rings.

You must really hate Morgan, I imagine. Or you are extremely loyal to Huma, a friend.

Quite noble to put your own rep on the line for your friend, here's hoping he would do the same for you.

Huma,
I'll address a few points, most of which shall be in order as they are written.

>I have rechallenged for the fourth ring. Period. Why? I want it back, and I
>don't like the current baroness. Period.

I don't think anyone, or most people, have a problem with one's desire to hold a ring they held before. Personally, I don't like it when people call it "their" ring, as if it shall always belong to them and nobody else.

>the challenge has been validated and we currently await the baroness to
>decide when she wants to lose, which i expect her to take her sweet time.

Morgan is a skilled duelist, in my opinion, taking the higher spots in the past two tourneys. While you want to refer it as "she decides when she loses", all it will take is one win by her to brush a ferocious wind to blow away the clouds your head is in. I humbly suggest you not set yourself up in such a manner.

>I reserve the right to change my mind at any givin time for anyreason what so
>ever.

Fine, change your mind. People will point it out to you when you do, but what annoys me most of all is when people say things for the sake of never meaning them. Have I come down hard on some people who have rightfully changed their minds while doing soulsearching? I admit I may have been, but I can't change what I've done.

>New ages are dawning

A different overlord, from what I see at the moment, won't "change the age". I've only been here since Leto, granted, but strings of messages won't stop being displayed upon these boards.

Me this and me that, one might wonder, but that's where I can get the best answers to state my opinion; myself. Recently as I read the posts I look upon myself to basically think. While I admit to spouting out words of anger, I find it impossible to condone certain things.

That's just me, and my thoughts in retrospect.

Oathbreaker

Thou art ast e'er the coward thee hae repeatedly proven thineself to be. Thee darken the very stones of the cavern and rings with thine odious presence. Thine barkings are like that of jackels, nae hae thee e'en the fortitude to hold unto thine given oath. The prize? Thee consider the Fourth Ring a prize, a mere bauble? Thee didst shed thine self pride and respect most publicly, Oathbreaker. Thou art whining and sniveling ast be thine wont,
for tis thee that hae repeatedly shown thee lack anna intestinal fortitude. Morgan le Fay Du Cornwall hast honored the Fourth Ring far and above any honour thee couldst e'en begin to understand. In fact, the mere minutes that the Fourth Ring wast in the hands of Master Jesse Troyan, it was in more honourable possession than anna that thee couldst now bestow upon it.

I am in complete agreement with thee 'pon one matter, Oathbreaker. Thou hast signed thineself ast being a "jerk" Tis that ist the most accurate portion of thine entire missive. Tis I for one, wouldna wish a self proclaimed and admitted "jerk" to hold the Fourth Ring. In that thou reserves the right to change thine mind at any given time and for any reason, one must first hae determine if thou hast a mind with which to work. Tis becoming
painfully obvious thine ist warped by thine obsession. Thee seem to be verra certain tis nae annathing annaone canst do save the Baroness. Hast made some privy arrangements that thou canst state thus with such certitude? If thou art an example of this New Age which thou hast mentioned, mores the pity for this community, for the darkness shall deepen e'en further.

Huma,

You are, unequivocally, the most incompetent holder of the Fourth ring... ever. I took a certain joy in pounding it from your little hands when you made challenge to me, and I'll likewise enjoy taking it back if you win, by some streak of luck.

Kill him old school style, King Fay.

hey Lupton,

Ya know, at least *I* defended the ring you lost twice. I defended four times, best you could muster was three, and of course you did beat me, in my first challenge, inexperience got the best of me, which by the way, I did include you in my peerwin list Lupt.

as for everyone else, thanks for the support, I love being criticised, makes my days complete.

Gotta love RhyDin and it's people.

Trouble follows me where I go, but keep this in mind, my methods may be rude, crude and absurd, i *actually* have the community and the history and tradition of said title in my mind. I tried once to build a new history for the fourth ring, and done so by defending it more than anyone else ever has, which I will again try to do...I also have the belief that the holder of any title should sacrfice any and all times in thier life to defend said
titles..in other words, swift justice and answers to challenges, and never miss said challenge.

When I held the ring, I replied swiftly to challenges, I hate long waits ya know. And due to accepting the ring, i feel each individual must forgo any personal involvments, what I mean, lets look at my last challenge to Dal that made everybody mad. You hold a title, i feel no matter what, you defend said title. Lose a loved one, mourn *after* the defense, that's the responsibilty of accepting the titles we take pride in. Everything waits untill we no
longer hold these rings or crowns. I feel I had to say that, and as I said before...

I'm a jerk, like me or not, nobody can do anything about it...unless I win, which of course anybody can try and knock me off my high horse. I'm tired of being a passive person. Being nice gets me nowhere in life anymore. I will say this though, be nice to me, I will treat you how you treat me. With that said, have a nice day people..

The woman sends a young man servant to tack a note to the corkboard.

Oathbreaker

Thee hae the traditions and community in mind? Indeed. Shall the community and the traditions include thine penchant for breaking thine given word? Jeffrey Oakenshield didst meet thee honorably in the ring. The didst state publicly afore witnesses that thee wouldna press challenge should Jeffrey defeat thee. Thee didst pen a missive stating the same to the community at large. Thee were soundly defeated then didst whine thee hae thrown the
match. Thou art nae only a "jerk" thou art a whimpering, whining cur. Tis hoped thee mean thine words this time and shall appear at the time and place chosen by the Baroness, eschewing any and all other responsibilities; that is if thee hae anna responsibilities atall.

Huma,

You do have a way with words. Although I do not like the way you brought forth your challenge, I still hope you take home your ring....though I know you will.

These comparisons of endeavors really annoy me: "I beat you! So? I beat you harder!".

Anyways, we'll see whose foot goes in their mouth.

Lupton Huma

# challenges 10 2
# of rings held 3 1
# defenses 3 4
total challenges 16 7
# months as baron c. 6 c. 5
vs. in challenge 1-0 0-1
WoL 166 29
Challenge % 6/16 5/7
(37.5%) (71.4%)
#PEFFs* 0-2,000 1.00 x 10²³

* PEFFS=Pathetic Excuses For Failures

Amidst all of this "I can duel better than you", the following facts have been established. Lupton's challenged 10 times, had the ring 3 times (meaning he lost those 3 times) and has defended his ring successfully 3 times. He has averaged holding the ring for 2 months average. He has generally given credit where it's due.

Huma on the other hand, has challenged twice, held the ring once (meaning he lost once to lose the ring), and has defended the ring 4 times. While he has proven himself capable of defending the ring, he is more likely to blame it was too cold for his loss rather than take responsibility.

As I am sure someone will most likely want to try to have these statistics thrown back at me, I'll spare them the trouble.

# challenges 5
# challenges fought 3
# rings held 2
# defenses 2
total challenges 9
# months as a baron 7
WoL 30
Challenge % total 4/9 (44.4%)
fought 4/7 (57.1%)
#PEEFs 500-5,000

I have challenged five times, but never set foot two of those times by things that were my fault. Against Daegarth I never sent peer wins to the standings keeper, and against Evan, I was second placed in the que.

If I have blundered with a statistic, feel free to let everyone know. I was trying to read through all the pages of history so I could relay the information.

But from what I see, nobody should really be complaining about "how well I beat you".

For everyones info..I like sole food, yes *sole* food...my foot has been in and will return many times to *my* mouth. period. I'm human. I have emotions and i have the right to do as I please. Like me or not. Jona keeps kicking up the last challenge with me and dal and Jeff...old news old woman. has no bearing on this matter. Since you wish to push, lets look at it from a new point of view eh?

Will you Jona *ever* hold one of the sacrid rings or even the overlord's title? I don't see it happening, so, best you can do is interject your *opionions* which most nobody cares about anyway, but still, you have the right. What's my point? I have none except, don't say things about me unless you can say you've been there. I don't much care for Jeff, but i don't belittle him for anything. the dwarf has excellent skill and has an excellent record,
and he *still* holds a ring...kudos to him for his dedication. As for you Jona..."feh"

Gawd i love the DoS

Since I'd rather not defile my hand with writing about Huma's challenge, I'll instead ask a simple question. Magnus.. how can you possible hope that he becomes the dirt inside of the fourth ring again? That perhaps shows me more about you than I've learned to date, and makes me reconsider my feelings about you holding the title in that light. I'll be seeing you..
