~*~ crier runs through the streets of Rhydin crying out the news of the ArchMage Challenge Final. His young voice catching the attention of all who are in hearing ~*~

Hear Ye All Who Have Ears! The Duel of Magic ArchMage Tourney Results!
~*~ A large crowd quickly gathers around the boy, eager for news of the final, badgering him with a barrage of questions until one kind soul lifts him onto a nearby barrel, hushing the crowd so that the breathless boy can speak ~*~

" Twas a tense two matches, the skill shown by defending ArchMage Melgarth Mithmellon and Challenger Mur Ollavan was breathtakin'. Both matches were officiated by Lady Mystik Silverhand (HOST DFC Mystik). The first match was hard fought, a true showing of the mastery and skill of both duelists! But in the end twas the ArchMage who took the match 5.5 to 4 in 10 action filled rounds!

After a break to refresh themselves the duelists stepped into the Ring of Destiny. Round after round it went on,the scoring close as the two supreme duelists struggled to dominance! "

~*~ some kindly soul handing the boy a mug of water, he drinks thirstily, gulping air into his lungs to relate the final match, gathering himself, though still trembling with excitement, he gives a blow by blow of the final match~*~

And so it is that on September 4, 2000; on the arcane blessed Twilight Isle the ArchMage Melgarth Mithmellon defeats Mage Mur Ollavan 5 to 1.5 gaining the win and the best of three duels to defend the title of ArchMage of the Duel of Magic! Well and skillfully duelled Mur ! Hail and long reign ArchMage Melgarth !

~*~ The lad posting the paper he had been reading from to the cork as was directed by Lady Mystik, his hand delves into his pocket, a grin at the nicely rounded purse he had earned, then fingers seperate away one of the hot cinnamon candies, popping it between lips, a jaunty whistle as he wanders away after another glance at her signature to make sure to keep it to mind
