Another story from the tenth

A story I heard... It is a precious story to help show how special children are.


A young man returns home after helping another farmer with the fields. The man is tired, and he literally collapses on a sofa. His son approaches him, asking him curiously, "Daddy, is it true you get paid a bag of gold for everyday you're at work?"
The man, exhasperated, replies, "Yes, it is."
The child then asked, "Well, may I borrow half a bag?"
The father, annoyed, snaps, "Don't bother me! Go to your room!"

An hour or so later, the father realizes how he was really hard on his son, and goes to the child's room, saying, "I'm sorry for snapping at you. Here, here's half a bag of gold." The father then turns the bag over, giving out half of the contents.
The next day, the father returns home, exasperated again. The son shyly approaches him, and asks for another half of bag of gold.
"You know... I gave you half a bag yesterday. Just go to your room and don't bother me!"
Again, after an hour, the father returned to his son's room, and handed him another half of a bag, still sort of disgruntled.

The son pulled out the other half he got yesterday, and puts the money he recently received, into the bag. He holds out the bag to his father, saying, "Here's a bag of gold, I'd like to buy a day of your time, daddy."



Personally, I loved the story when I read it.

Thereby proving that time is money, with a very bad exchange rate.
