A time to reflect ( Seamus)

::Seamus sat behind the oaken desk which sat in the center of his office at the Duely Noted. A bottle of his favorite aged scotch was placed at arms reach should he need to convince himself further of the inevitable. Having wrestled for weeks, if not months over the decision, he slowly lifted the quill and began to write. Upon completion of the missive, he tacks the note to the
ancient cork. Taking a deep breath as he steps back, almost pulling it down but deciding it is best he follow his instinct. One glance around the room before ambling out :::

My dearest friends.

It is with the greatest of sorrows I announce this day that I no longer have the fire inside me to compete within the rings of honor.
I do not attribute my lack of desire to the state of the DoS. I do not claim it to be the lack of respect for pagentry or the lack of concern for honor. Not in the least. I have seen many faces come and go in my tenure here. I have heard all the excuses a man could imagine for leaving this community, some are very valid, however I am not one to lay blame for my own lack of enjoyment on others. I am retiring from the rings until such time as I find
the desire to compete. I Shall remain in the realm in order to fulfill my obligations to the Duely Noted. I do hope one needn't duel to understand the goings on here about RhyDin. I suppose I will find out though. I hope to return to the rings soon but I sincerely doubt I will be donating peerwins for some time.
I wish all of you luck, skill and honor and if it be not too much to ask, an occasional drink to O'Shaunnesy and Tinuviel and perhaps a raised glass to former commoner and Baron who loves this place with all his heart.

To you all,
God Speed
Simply,
Seamus

::frowns::

Seamus,

As I barely knew you, I feel awkward being among the first to lament your retirement, but...well, I think I speak for many of us lesser known duelists, and certainly for most of the more widely known ones as well when I state that your presence in the rings will be sorely missed. I repeat that though it may sound strange coming from me, an unknown, you may count on this being a sincere wish for your continued happiness in all that you endeavor, and
a hope that one day you shall once again grace us all, from commoner to Baron, with your wit, your honor, and your skill with the blade. Not to mention that smashing kilt! Truely, Seamus, whether you know by who or not, you shall be missed.

Humbly,
Aerenth Artides

Seamus,

One of the commoners I faced as a commoner in my first months here. I watched your rise all the way to Baron, as a friend, and as a team mate. You will be missed (and not just because you always had a bottle of the good scotch.)

If I never said thank you before, let me say it now, for all you taught me, and all your support. It was always a great honor to fight on your team, and to be your friend.

Take care my friend, and hurry back.

Ahh Damn.

Now we lose one of the classy ones.

Good luck in whatever you choose, Seamus, boss. I'm just a few offices down.

Seamus,

Wherever you got to seek whatever you may need, may you either find it where you seek it or enjoy the search so much that it doesn't matter.

Seamus,
Return soon, good friend. And be sure to return before all of us meet the age requirement to join Team Loincloth.

Respectfully,

Seamus,

I did not know you all too well, but I did always consider you a friend, and have always respected your dueling. You will be missed in the rings, and I for one will await your return.

Seamus~

In all reality, I don't know what to say. At one time I had called you friend, but sadly that friendship was broken. However, this doesn't mean I'm dancing for joy because you've left. All I can say is that I hope you find peace.

Seamus, my dear friend...

Hurry back. You always have the best drinks on hand.

Oh, I suppose I'll miss seeing you, too. Just a wee bit.

Fondly,
Elle de Fortenza.
