Most Embarrassing Moment

Let's get away from the usual debate, whining, challenging, and et cetera thingees for a second. Let's have a moment of fun laughing at ourselves and others. Let's all post our own MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENTS IN THE DoS! I'll go first.

OK, it all started when I read an ancient text about the Duel of Swords. OK, it wasn't really ancient. It was some book I saw on the ground. Anyway, this book was written in some elven language which I didn't understand. So I used my Universal Text Translator (Copyright Big Billy Bob, Jimmy, Moe, & Co, 1998) to attempt the translation.
Well, it turns out that the Translator was beta and screwed up a few words. So, I came posting on the boards, in this case about Children Dueling, once a sensitive topic. In my post, I stated that you could tell your kids that "a magic wand" watches over the sport of the DoS. Apparently, the beta Translator, created with the combined knowledge of a few adolescent video-game nuts, combined with the semi-legible elven scribe apprentice's
handwriting, translated "Ward of Gondar" as "Wand of Ganon!"
Jeez, I had at least 3 people tell me that it was a ward, not a wand. Looking back, that was sort of funny. Not nearly so funny as when I located Big Billy Bob, Jimmy, Moe, & Co, and THWACked them with the defective translator. At last, I think it works. I'll even translate something into that elfy-language thing.
::In that elven language... "fa43qfmafo40f" is written, meaning "I is quiz show, the worst space excrement leader in the history of horrendous.":: See? It says, "I am Quizxs, the greatest starship commander in the history of H'rynda." Cool, huh?

My most embarrassing moment?? Hmmmm... I guess that would be when I translocated a lemon tree to the Nexus trying to comjure a glass of lemonade. It was right after I moved to RhyDin. Daemon Satyriasis, who I later married, was trying to teach me the rudiments of magic. He and I and a few others were in the Nexus one evening. I think Seamus was there,
too. Anywho, I asked him for a glass of lemonade and he decided to use the opportunity to teach me basic conjuring. Now picture this if you will.... There we were.... Daemon chanting softly to aid my concentration, me sitting there with my tongue poking out the side of my mouth, eyes squinted tightly closed.... concentrating for all I'm worth..... when POOF!!! Suddenly I'm flat on my bum sitting in a fruit orchard where a lemon tree had once
stood. I didn't know any magic (obviously) so I had to find my way back to the Nexus on foot. It was late when I did make it, but Daemon had waited for me. He was sitting in the branches of the new lemon tree, and a large pitcher of fresh lemonade was on a stool.... I guess he figured I'd be thirsty.

Anywho.... That's my most embarrassing moment, so far.....

I saw you move that tree Khrys, ya were trying to make lemon aide if I noe be mistaken. As for me, I would say I was most embarrassed the night Morgan stole my kilt and Kappy tried tae drag me to the battlefield in buck nekked.
Second to that is was the night ole Falon decided to kiss my hand as if I were one of his lady friends::ponders:: Perhaps it was Falon tha' was embarrassed that night

Oh thank you so much Seamus, I really needed that one. I remember that well, so the visual hit me right away. from the night when I saw it happen. I'll be shaking my head laughing about that one for days again.

Well, I have an Embarrassing moment, but it was really by me... and as I know it - Just a story. It all started with a little animal named "Whacker" although the story is too long to name - just imagine what can happen when you have a pet named "Whacker." Just send me a letter and I'll tell ya the whole dern story. And I promise you - it'll be the most laughable story you've ever heard. Of course, the animal
named "Whacker" was Stof Anders pet. I say no more - if you want to know the story, just ask.
