A finely scripted scroll is left secured to the board, the message reads:
Her Royal Highness requests inspection of said ring. Your presence is commanded on the morrow pon the time when sun sets true.
A boat shall bring you to the Isle of Sorrow. Keep the ring safe and secure upon thee.

Rella took some time reading the scroll which had been left in reply to her notice. She read the queen's note forward first, then backwards, and she also asked a nearby stranger to read it as well.
No one whom she tried seemed to have ever heard of the "Queen of Puppets, " but Rella was determined to meet her. What could be more exciting than taking a boat-ride, or meeting a queen? Rella didn't remember seeing a queen in the Arena the night before, but that didn't matter.
To Rella, the note wasn't clear whether she was expected to be at the docks, at the Isle of Sorrow (what kind of place was that!) or in front of the queen, at sunset, but she assumed that queens had many lamps and candles to use in the dark, so, that didn't matter either.
The kender, extremely excited, grabbed her hoopak, along with her favorite pouches and purse, and ran to the docks just before the sun was beginning its slow descent into sleep for the night.

A man dressed in ornate military garb, somewhat garish in color and detail, guided a wooden boat dockside. As he moored the royal vessel securely to a post, 2 more men rose from cushioned seats of plush burgundy velvet and a deep purple satin trim.
Not a word was spoken as the two royal escorts stepped from the boat, one holding a small puppet-doll. The puppet head was carved oak wood and masterfully painted in flesh tones with lifelike features. The hinged mouth was the color of the reddest poinsettia, a delicate line along the opening that peaked in two places just below a perfect button nose. Two onyx stones made the eyes that sparkled in the flicker of oil lamps that hung in symmetry
along the boat hull. The puppets costume mimicked the same garish but finely tailored uniform that the three men were dressed in. There were the same gold braids that adorned the shoulders, the same deep purple tunics of brocade and velvet and trim of burgundy satin.
Standing just forward from where the dock met boat, the escorts stood at attention, the one man holding the puppet in hands that made the doll look as though it were sitting upon a chair of flesh and bone.
In the puppet's parted hands a rigid parchment card was held, inked in what appeared an eerie reflecting script that simply read,
Rella Snowflakepicker
The sun sizzled into the horizon, the glow from the lamps hanging from Her Majesty's Royal Vessel casting enough light to guide the small kender to the place of mooring, should she decide to come.
