<< That's the real problem, isn't it. Much why I wouldn't be trying to implement it. Cause if I had my way, more than half the Warlords currently would be unable to challenge. So I suppose for those people it's a good thing I won't have my way.FAMILY="SANSSERIF" FACE="Arial" LANG="0">>>
The whole idea of "honor and reason" being required to hold dueling ranks is ludicrous. Give me one good reason why it isn't.

Yeah, I know making fun of a name is a cheap shot. But, it's intended in good humor.

I caused this? I must be a special person. I agree, if someone challenges cause they can, go ahead. I'm not accusing him of following the rules, I'm accusing him of being a hypocrite. He challenges whenever he feels even though he believes in this 'honor' junk. I could careless, I'm just pointing the obvious.
And ask for you, Aspen...
This paper is getting wet from your stupid laughing. I get the feeling you're that of a dog, you slobber like one and bark like one. I wonder if you squeal like one.
Cletus,
You're just mad since ya don't have a reason and I pinned it on ya, hypocrite. And if you do have a reason, it wouldn't stand for your belief in "honor." Go ahead and challenge, I don't care one bit, just saying what I see.

I don't know about you, but I haven't seen any respect for the titles lately. In addition, immaturity is relative.

Well G...
Now you know why I'm such a big fan of Tests and Intersessions... Which are two different things, btw.
Then again, I always liked the "having to be within the top 20-25 Warlords in the Warlord Rankings to challenge" idea. But then, that's another of those "skill over personal honor" things.
If you're a warlord and you'd rather not see someone challenge... don't duel them.

Gnort,
What if I happen to get my ten peer wins, which I probably already would have from before if I bothered keeping track, and I pick someone to challenge solely on the basis that I hate the person and want to take what they have and cause them misery. Which is a reason I could use often. Who is going to stand up on a podium and tell me that I can't challenge because it's not a good reason, or I'm not honorable enough?
Aside from the fact that I'd probably follow that person home and strangle them in thier sleep, whose to say that my reason isn't as valid as Joe dueler who wants to test because they "Want to test thier skills and become a baron" or "I want to be a member of the community and therefore am challenging"?
All I'm trying to say is that even though a person may not have a good reason to challenge doesn't mean that they won't end up being a fine baron.
BRK
PS: Honor doesn't pay the rent or put food on the table, so what is the big deal about it?

Howabout..."I have 10 PWs and I want to challenge, because I want a ring..etc. etc."
Nothings wrong with that, to me at least, But then again, this whole discussion isn't going anywhere. Even if you all bitched and complained day in and day out, people are going to challenge..just to spite you, or because they want to. Greed included. Can't someone ever post a challenge or intent without it turning into a freakin' discussion..sheesh..it really is horrid.

Roman,
The date declared meets the standards of the first challenger.
I will be dueling under the black and gold banner of the Dracoern Empire. Beside me as my Second will be the honorable Senior Baron and most winningest duelist of all time, Jeffrey Oakenshield, Master of House Oakenshield. My Lady of Honor will be long standing duelist, Warlord, and definition of beauty and class, Simini.
May your reign end on the twenty-ninth.
