This 11th night of the 7th month and within the confines of the Annex to the Duelers Arena, there was held a defense for the 13th ring of the Duel of Swords. Wherein the Warlord, Cassius Gaius Maximius did press his challenge to the reigning Baron, Sir Magnus Eques for his ring.
The duel was one of superb skill and is charted below.

You all need to lighten up some. Most everyone who knows me knows I like to talk smack just to be silly and obnoxious. I do it because everyone around here is so uptight and rigid and wondering if every little word I am trying to stab someone in the heart with. All you worry about your honor being insulted that you insult your honor overreacting to mere words. If you let what I say bother you then you
shouldn't be here because your a weak piece of crap then. Get some skin and take what I say with a grain of salt.
Cas has been making little comments in the Arena about me and talking serious amounts of intentional smack about me and who I am. First, the bigoted statement against my people. I would almost excuse Ecore his anti-Roman sentiments, given how they took away his family and mortality. But wait!

So who did kill your family,E? On Terra, the Empire fell to the west *500 years* before the foundation of the Norman state by the Norse ruler Rollo. Also, note the words "first became Immortal". That means if Ecore has a cause to hate Romans, then he was centuries old when his family was killed. And he's not elven. So E...What's your next excuse?
And as for attacking you....the comments you made during my Challenge match were inexcusable. Simply put, you crossed the line. I had meant to shove you from up front...you turned. A slender woman wanders into the Arena halls as she is wont to do when bored. She listens the orbs of the speeches past and has to laugh by this one in particular. Far be it from her to not point out ignorance of history. It's just too funny to see people scrambling for an answer.

I have used only three weapons in the duels. The first was the blade I came to RhyDin with. It was a blade made of crushed emeralds and oriculum, a rare metal able to hold enchantments from the mines of Wales, Terra. It held the spirit of my only son after we was murdered by the Normans which also was the day I died that I first became Immortal.
The blade was broken in the Arena on the
mantle of the fireplace during the reign of Leto Covington as Overlord.
I have used a staff, or more appropriately an oaken cudgel at times as well for a variety of reasons.
Now, I use "Draco". It's made from a shard of one of RhyDin most powerful known artifacts, the LyfeStone of Mount Bane, just to the north of RhyDin Towne. It was forged and magiced by the priests and wizards of House Lathadoscia. It is a thin slim very slightly curved long black blade with a black hilt. It resembles a cross between a longsword and a katana in look. There are no etchings or jewels embedded in it, and the crosspiece is straight
from the pommel curving neither away or nor towards the blade. For lack of a better term the Draco is considered sentient, an extension of the artifact it was forged from. Some say it has a certain effect upon me, a dark one, I say it gives me the strength and power to do the things I want to do.
"History time, and realize I get my information from a Terran Tome.
The Saxon Invasion of Normandy occurred between the 9th and 11th centuries AD.
Rome was founded in 753 BC
The decline of Rome was complete when Constantine moved his capital to the Greek City of Byzantium on the Black Sea in 330 AD.*
If this be the case, then you were not alive for the Roman Empire. Care to explain this away, my dear?"
She sits back and waits for the insults to fly because she is that perverse.

The reference to Normans was a mistake by me because I was thinking of another event while writing about my wife and son. It was a simple mix up of thinking one thing while writing another.
And as far as Cas's challenge and my comments, he deserved every bit of it, because for weeks I have sat in the Arena and listen to his crap and talking crap about me which most of it isn unfounded. I don't give a damn about your sorry arse, Cas, your nobody and always will be to me. Your little oath doesn't mean squat to me and I don't care who you challenge or why. I was facing Drake the whole time when she was sitting on the couch facing the
ring, I was facing away from the ring the whole time. Do not twist your cowardly actions.

Still in town due to last evenings required presence, He continues taking in the sites, checking the messages posted on the Arena's cork. Lately, he noted the typical boorish diatribe, made his minor amusing (at least to him) responses. But then, comes across this last one.
Wrinkling his nose, he leans down to get a better sniff of the papers scent, then pulls it to see the text and format. Taking another whiff, he cringes, making a disgusted sound and attempts to wipe clear the texture of the paper from his fingertips.
Quickly, he rushes out of the Arena, shuddering the entire while.
