Just once; that's all.

All around him, it seemed to pulse; alive. All around him he swam in the warmth of its depths and drank in the nectar, the sweet ambrosia that enfolded him. Why, was his first thought. Why was he here; for what purpose did he serve? When would he know? Dimly, he heard a voice. A faint echo of a song; the lower harmonies of a sad ballad reaching even him, where he lay. Something was not right outside his world, something was
horribly wrong. Even though he had just become aware of this foreign entity, he was filled with the knowledge of something ... missing. With an almost childlike wonder, he tried to reach out; yet he could not. Frowning inwardly, he wondered at the inability to move. He tried again, and once more was unable to move even the slightest bit. It was as if he was in some form of a jacket, and unable to remove it.

Sighing silently, he finally gave up, and just resolved to listen, to learn. The answers would come in time.
