Upon the coming of dawn Valmion's passage regarding Luthien is found stained in crimson, yet readable.

The same crimson ink used in the stain appears again on a ripped piece of silvery sash.

"Lies."

He stood, hands tucked humbly in coat pockets, looking at Cygnet's posted note, and the comments found writhing within. Taking his hand from a pocket, he touched just below her signature, where words glowed into existence.

He turned, hands tucked humbly in cloak pockets, fading mid-gait.

The note rested just below hers, but notably apart from it. Its script seemed to shimmer with a self-made luminosity, and it read:

She is not an Angel. She is not one of us.

Oh oh! ::points at the stack of papers:: Looks like we got a whiner!

::penning a note for the heck of it::

Ian or whatever you are (Feminine names scare me occassionally.),

Oh how the pouting goes when a man challenges because he doesn't like how one acts. Ya are an impudent pest that babbles like the baby ya are. I think little Rixy can stand up for himself without some guy trying to hide behind papers and simple writings. Ya are a coward to mock him for wanting to prove himself with a blade ya lousy rodent. I spit on you and your family. I don't like Valmion and I don't like you, a bunch of pretty boys whining
over a smelly challenge.

Besides my petty comments above I must conclude my feelings upon this wonderful subject. I'm guessing Rixy is a friend of ya's, hmmm? So ya just pop in out of no where to voice your almost meaningless opinions. Ya are a seriously troubled man to come crawling back without lifting a blade to prove whatever point ya have. Ya whine and pout, but stand back behind TDL to await Valmion's meaningless post.

I must say, I am a damn fool to be wasting my time writing this note to such a vegetating imbecile. Ya are the kind of man I put in chains to serve me on my spare time when I want to be like you and hide behind little papers such as this. With all this in mind, I'd love to see this Valmion idiot take on little Rixy.

I hope ya enjoyed it as much as myself.

Sir Robert,

While, I do try to stay out of matters such as this, I feel a need to step in. Before you bring comments agaisnt people you should find out the story. I am sure there are some here, including me of course that could tell you some things about the situation. I applaud your loyalty to Val, but please, talk with the person you directed the comments to first. Or at least someone else.

M'Lord MacKenzie, more importantly, my friend...

You write: "Truly, Questrion... when was the last time you saw that challenge issued here, and then witnessed the loser gracefully
cede the issue?"
When I issued challenge to Baron Var Medici-Giovani, it was with the clear indication that, once the last blow was struck the incident that caused the challenge would be forgotten by myself... and so it was.
When that gentlemen issued challenge in return to me, I knew it had nothing to do with that situation. He challenged because he wanted the ring back, and to prove that he could win against me.
When that duel was over, there was still no animosity in my heart.

When Eros DeBurgo was defeated by Cristian d'Oro for the Crown, he gracefully accepted the loss, urging the community to stand behind the new Overlord. And when he was defeated for the First Ring by Lyon T'gar, though I know from talking with him that it rankled a bit in his heart, he accepted the loss gracefully.

There are others, as well... I am certain in my heart that there is still Honor here.

Er...Cyg, if you're a fallen angel or what not, I'd like to inquire as to the effects of the drop; or more specifically, your head's contact with the ground upon landing. Because something is nae right.

And people wonder why I don't get this whole new Christianity thing.

This note is merely appended to that which is being responded to (the daggers now all disposed of), in an easy, almost amused scrawl.

" 'Ronny':

They say the worth of a man is measured by his detractors; as I have often said before, I expect this makes me a failure, and your seeming addition to those ranks does naught to change that perception.

I do commend you, however, for being yet another who seems to think waving one's sword around is the be-all and end-all of existence. Conforming to brutish infantilism is always a noble endeavour, truly.

As for cowardice... indeed, my retainers are currently unable to serve, being wracked with hysterical laughter. I do thank you for providing them such amusement. I might even find room for you as the official jester for my armies, though I fear that small problem you seem to have containing your saliva could serve to exclude you. Pity, that.

Cheerfully,
Ian Rex."

Another comment, appended to its progenitor:

"M'lady Drakewyn:

I did not refer to challenge issued for title. I referred to challenge issued for other purposes. I do suspect neither you, nor any other, might recall a recent example where such was executed with the slightest hint of honor.

Yours,
Ian Rex."

Noting the reply written to her, Drakewyn reminds herself to visit her friend and some-times mentor... for they have much to talk about.

Good sir, Coron,

I shall try to address your question, but I'm unsure of it's meaning.
I will comment that what rumor is about the realm as to my status is untrue, I am as I have been since creation.

I am honored by your odd querry and hope things are clearer. This realm is a peculiar place full of peculiar creatures, which I am one.

I remain in Grace,
Cygnet S. Gnimoi

The angel closes her eyes in a trying manner, head bowed, halo cocked and dim.
Several feathers loosen from massive wings that lay weak at her backside as fragmented flashes of celestial light lift her from before the cork, her note left tagged to the board by a sparse feather. She hadn't even noticed the previous note left below her signature. A pure heart sees no lies written by evil.

Ian,

Ya are still hidin' behind them papers and trying to 'torment' others by popping out of your hole just to nail some Questrion fellow. I pity ya for lousy insults that try to waltz their way around mine. Such a guy to just try and dodge mine to make up comments that are absolutely meaningless.

I'll tell ya now that ya are nothing but a little rat that I stomp on in my path. Oh, and of course I can wave my sword around instead of being such an incredible cowardice cretin as yourself. Ya run from the DoS to hide behind your 'army.'

To tell ya he truth, I find ya a highly irritating whiner and pouter. Boo hoo... I think ya are afraid of somethin', pal. Such inferiority gains nothing but the penning of a note such as this. I dig my cigarette butt in scum such as you. Ya waste my time, ya hear? Ya wastin' my time and I'm a damn fool to even talk to someone so cowardice as you.

Bleh.

::shoving that cigarette butt above his signature, sliding it across the paper to smudge the ashes::

Ian,

After a series of rather nasty disagreements and what I considered, at the time, to be inappropriate remarks by Roland Sal Roa on the board, I challenged him to a duel of honor. We did so duel, to put the issue to bed. When I won, he fulfilled his end of the terms admirably and we have not had such a serious personal dispute since. I would say that fits the criteria for your question. We had issue, we dueled to settle the issue, and the issue was
settled.
