Jeff,

Just because my ruling happened to agree with the majority, it wasn't decided by precedence, but because that's what I felt was correct for that situation. I looked at the case as its own separate entity, and ruled as such. Precedent didn't guide my specific decision, even if my decision was the same as precedent.

Percy,

You must not have been at da match, since you obviously don't know Huma made da terms. It wasn't part of da DoS rules, it was a side deal. Dalamar wasn't dere ta make it an official Test of Worthiness, however Huma was dere ta make it an honor duel which everyone witnessed. Also, it would seem other barons supported me dat it was more dan an "illegal match" since I obviously got Huma's challenge shot down.

As fer my "behaving badly" I'm not exactly sure what yer referring ta. When I post its cause I got somethin' ta say, I don't post on every damn message like ya do. If ya don't like me or what I have ta say, too bad, cause I gave up on tryin' ta impress everyone long ago. Nowadays if ya respect me, its cause of what I do, not what I say.

::feels the old wounds opening::

I'll agree with you that Huma's actions point to the fact as doesn't care for most of our definitions of "honor" or "trust-worthy", but that does not make the match that you and Huma agreed to any more official. The council is an official body, and to use an unofficial match in the way that council did was an outrage, and a terrible precedent, in my opinion.

The match was ruled a forfeit by Dalamar.
The punishment of voiding Huma's challenge was not applicable.

Are we now going to void Deluthan's challenge for harsh, un-Baron-like words on the board? I certainly nope not.

Walker,

Wi' all due respect, in th' matter 'o Huma's challenge unto Dalamar an' Jeffrey's championing of his Overlord, indeed, th' Council took into consideration Huma's breaking his oath given before witnesses and also his renegin' 'pon 'is oath ast placed upon this verra corkboard ast well ast th' fact th' Dalamar's absence wast ta be at th' side 'o 'is dyin' father. Moreover, ast hae been commented, t'was nae like Dalamar ta shirk th' responsibility 'o
'is title ast nae it be like Lucian ta do so. Deluthan made comment th' eve th' 'e wast firm in wishin' th' matter turned over ta th' council and nae wished ta reschedule th' duel. Tis then th' warlord hast presented unta th' Council th' matter, where, hae he chosen otherwise, he mayest hae chosen ta meet th' Baron 'pon another eve.

Were the Council ta hae disregarded all th' circumstances surrounding th' happenstance, th' Council an those wh' sat upon it at th' time wouldst hae presented themselves ast little more than unthinking, unintelligent an' uncarin' personages.

I dinna think thou wouldst be th' sort wh' wouldst hae th' Council turn a deaf ear an' a blind eye ta either th' circumstances surrounding th' current situation, ta th' gentleman involved, nor ta th' precedents set by previous Councils. I wouldst 'ope th' current Council wouldst consider all factors in arrivin' at a decision.

Indeed, Billy, were there ta hae been one named ast second by th' baron, 'is second shouldst hae th' right ta stand fer 'im. Th' point be indeed moot in th' ta th' bes' 'o mine knowledge, th' Baron Lucian nae appointed a second ta stand at his side. Tis yet ta be a circumstance wherein th' named Second or Champion hast been permitted ta lift blade should th' challenged nae appear upon th' day an' 'our set fer th' match.

Um, seems simple.

Give Lucian one week to answer his reason for no show. If reason is common sense excusable, rescheduled the match between the two. If no answer, then leave the ring for the tourney.

No ring should be given, and yet no ring should be so easily given up on. There should be no rush, but due process kept.

" Council~

Should Lucian be given a second chance, I would like to ask that Dalamar's official censorship be removed from the histories, as there is *no* difference in the situations.

~Sidartha Elgarette "

Lady Elgarette,
May I politelty ask if the warlord's peerwins shall be revolked, along with his right to challenge for the cycle?

Seamus~

Since I am but a Commoner (again) I can only make requests and give opinions, but no, I do not think the Warlord should be punished either. I think there should be a rematch. Then again, there should have been a rematch between Huma and Dalamar as well.

Jonalyn,

I have never said a word about your whining before, but with this statment it furthers my impression of you as one that is unthinking. Jumping to conclusions before knowing all the facts yourself. At this time the council was looking more into the facts and had not made any firm decisions.
To me your response here has been no better then any dribble you have posted on these boards.

I still have no idea who this Zafiroo chap is, but he seems to have a firm grasp of reading.

Percy,
I am Zafiroo Turidan from the Emerald mountians, the land of the gems of the soul. You will notice me in the arena from time to time standing slightly of 6' tall, dressed in deep royal blue leathers trimed in silver.which is also the color of my hair. With the First barons ring dawning the middle finger of my left hand.
I hope this has awnsered your question.
