It could be argued that there is a time and a place. My own signature, in full, is only applied on royal documents. As Lady Starfare, as well as a few others who might remember, can attest, that signature is often longer than the document in question.
For informal communication, my signature is two words. Does it follow that I am not proud of who I am if I am writing informally? Of course not. Does it bother me when other people do it? No, but I do admit that I wonder why they feel the need, and I can see why some would criticize it.

Some time ago, due to mass mockery of Cassius due to his overly long signature on every document, he altered it.
This new version is the same currently, in a different direction.
I found it different, amusing, and... odd.

I agree with the above. I did say that some people like to express themselves more outward than inward. Indeed, your signature is two words, but that is you. For he may have an inferiority complex to state what he is proud of, or maybe he feels his accomplishments are important.
Maybe it is a long signature and all, but is it really worth all the trouble to insult it's bearer and lower yourself to his ground?
Cas may feel he is inferior, or he is just proud and wishes to express his accomplishments. Nothing wrong with it at all. Just another thing to poke at for cheap insults.
