::a small figure slipped through the shadows of the darkened streets of RhyDin. Creeping carefully from alley to alley, the figure gave the lighted arena a wide berth, hearing the sounds of merriment each time the door admitted yet another dueler. Sliding silently across the street, the shrouded silouette of a woman could breifly be seen against the backdrop of a lighted window, then just as quickly gone. Stealing down a side alley, she mounted the fire escape on the side of “The Duely Noted” offices,
ascending to a second story window. A prybar swiftly detached from her belt, the window was open in a matter of seconds, and she paused just within to allow her eyes to adjust to the dimness of the room. Crossing the large expanse of the room, she located a wall safe, pressing her ear against the door, and spinning the dial.

Cautiously pulling the door open, she reached within to pull the prized contest dagger from the safe. An almost impish grin crossed her delicate features as she stuffed it in her pouch and quietly left the way she had entered.::

::after a night of dueling Seamus walks cheerfully toward his office. With a bit of a spring in his stride he has not a care in the world, (or so he thinks.) As he turns the corner and steps into the light eluminating the side of the building, he notices an open window.:::
Och ! Wha' ha'e I to do tha' will convince tha' lass to shut her bloody window before she leave the office. ::Quite disgruntled he makes his way up the stairs to the entry. He fumbles in the dark for his key, cursing under his breath and muttering about some peoples children. As he breaches the doorway and light the lamp on his desk his heart stops!!, Silently he stares at the open safe, not knowing what to think. He peers inside the cavernous opening and finds the payroll still safely tucked under a few
ledgers:: Ah, Melanie must ha'e left it open!..No wait, something is not right here.::: He begins to scratch his head, looking a bit befuddled as to what is missing. As if he were slapped he realises that the prized dagger is not in its case. A fearful look washes over his face as his mind races. Again he speaks to himself::: I know! Melanie has takin it to the gravers.
::still unsure he closes the safe, moves to the open window and slides it shut. The latch appears a little worse for wear but seems to hold. He leaves the office, locking the door behind him. Then races towards the residence of one Melanie Polanski, hoping to hear that the dagger is safe and sound::::
