Bring the pain: Challenge for the 12th

To the Venerable Supervisor of the Duel of Swords, Valentine Evermeadow, the Offical Standings Keeper of the Duel of Swords, Drakewyn Alabaster Silvertree, the Assistant Supervisor and Official Historian of the Duel of Swords, Turi Scadicca, the Baron that I challenge, the honorable reigning and 38th Overlord of the Duel of Swords, Avery Shiv Blade, and the esteemed Baronial Council....

This missive is to inform you that I, Cassius Gaius Maximius, hereby issue challenge to Xavier Eric Mues for the right to hold the Twelfth Baronial Ring of the Duel of Swords, as I said I would. I have issued challenge before in the spirit of competition and honorable combat, and as a born warrior, that is what I prefer to do. However, while that is certainly part of the issue, as it always is, sadly, it is not the whole of it.

I challenge for two reasons: In the first, I consider Avery a good friend of mine. I enjoyed time spent as his Loyal when I held the 8th, and I would like to do so again,
with the extra honor of holding the same ring he did for many months, and never lost. In the second, if I said that I found the Baron a respectable choice who is ready to hold a ring, I would be lying. While hungrily hunting peer wins, he accused the Lady Drake of attempting to cheat him of his wins, when in fact it was by his own oversight that he did not see that they were accounted for. He challenged improrerly, and in that challenge, attempted to
keep it from the public eye, where challenges belong..the Baron Mortis deserves some praise for not allowing that. When he lucked out from recieving due punishment, he challenged once more, when all sense of honor and respect for his fellow duelists and for the rules would have told him to wait. Upon winning his ring, he instantly forgot his hunger for the challenge, insisting I hold off my intended challenge...which normally, I would be quite happy
to do, but circumstances prevent this. To top this, he stated his intention to Test Damien Mortis in his upcoming challenge to Avery...with or without the Overlord's blessing.
He further went on to state that he would have to be physically restrained from doing so. In a nutshell, I don't feel this man is ready to be Baron, and I wish to remove him or in the very least, test his worth
