Var said that it was not meet that I should say things behind yer back that I would not say to yer face. I had thought of a witty thing, and said it, to which he drew offense.

So fer yer to know here is what I recall of it...I said I should name me axe the "Jonalyn" because it was an old battleaxe and I fell out of the chair laughin. I had a chance to think on it, and ciphered it would be an insult to honest wood and metal so I wont do it, and yer have lost yer chance fer fame

Couldn't you have said all that in your first missive, like you seem to be suggesting Jona to?

The fact of the matter is, you waited for Jona to leave before saying "the biddy is gone" or something to that extend. Of course, I don't remember you saying you were going to call your battleaxe "Jona," although that does add to the list of comments behind her back.

The thing I can't wait for is to read Jona telling you how stupid it sounds when you're asking her if she's infatuated with you. Thanks again for the interesting reading. I thought that the ancient boards were beginning to run low on stupid comments.
