Results of the Challenge for the 3rd

Ladies and Gentlemen!

Upon the 28th day of the 6th month, I was honored to have officiated the challenge issued by Warlord Cory Havoick unto Baron Unagi Miyamoto. The challenge was for the right to wear the third baronial ring of the Duel of Swords.

The Baron Unagi dueled with no second, under the colors of white cherry blossom on the field of sky blue and the House Miyamoto. He dueled for the honor of the mysterious Nyan-nyan, whom I was informed later to be Onyx; he used the Shirasaya and his shurikens to duel for the Nyan-nyan's honor.

The Warlord Cory Havoick dueled with no second, no colors, and did not specify a weapon. He dueled for the honor of Jacilyn Havoick.

The first four trades of the match were of similar intent between baron and warlord. They switched from offense to defense to offense to defense. The score was tied at 1 a piece after the first four rounds. The next two rounds consisted of the two trading offense and defense, each scoring a point in one of the two rounds. Therefore, the score was tied at two after six.

After that, Unagi was the only one to score. He scored once by countering a thrust and twice by cutting low as Cory tried to move away. It took Unagi five rounds to score the three points to win it 5-2 in 11 rounds.
