On the evening of July 16, Renegade Baron Drey Starke pressed his challenge to Overlord Taylara Tyree for the title of Overlord of the Arena.

Baron Starke stood alone for his challenge, having neither a second nor a lady of honor in his corner.

Overlord Tyree dueled in the memory of Dexter Montoya. She sported the jade and black of Atrebla. Her second was Mathias DeWinter, and Guillimus Iulius Fortis stood as her Lord of Honor.

Before the match began, the Overlord expressed her intent to initiate the Test of Worthiness on her challenge. Ellisa Morgan, also a Renegade Baron, stepped forward on Drey's behalf to intervene. Loyal Baron Unagi Miyamoto, the one testing on behalf of the Overlord, stepped into the ring with Ellisa.

Ellisa took little time in dominating the match. Primarily using defensive tactics to thwart Unagi's attacks, she rallied four points in the first four rounds to take an overwhelming lead. Unagi would strike only once, cutting to hit his opponent as she tried to move away, but succumbed the very next round when Ellisa returned the favor to end the match. In six quick rounds, Ellisa defeated Unagi with a final score of five to one, thus clearing
the way for Drey's challenge.

Taylara and Drey took to the ring after a short intermission. Using a defensive maneuver, Taylara would deflect Drey's attack in the opening round, gaining a lead which she would never lose. Although Drey would retaliate shortly thereafter, a stepping and cutting combination by the Overlord would give her a three to one lead after only four rounds. The Baron was able to land a few more attacks, but failed in his challenge after his attack flew
over a crouching Taylara in the closing moments. Thus, Taylara retained the Overlord position with a five to three victory in seven rounds.
