To the Duel of Swords community,

This is a notification that I have challenged for the title of Overlord. I hope this will be an honorable, and entertaining match for all involved.

Briefly,

Ellisa,

I wish you luck in your bid for the Title. I do hope you remove the Over"lady" rather quickly and with minimal stress to yourself.

Taylara,

I believe this reign is your time to shine, and I hope with this challenge you do so brighter. I wish you the best of luck, and hope your victory will put an end to the ridiculous practice of two-stepping from Baron to Overlord. I am here for you.

Deluthan,

You've just insulted a former student of mine, and in fact have managed to incite my wrath. How dare you accuse Ellisa Morgan of spring boarding to the throne from her recently earned Baron title, one of many she has held before. Has she ever challenged for Overlord before? No. Has she ever used her recently earned title to challenge for another title? No. If there has been anything I have ever tried to teach my former students beyond skill
more than anything is a respect for the titles, and working your way towards being respected as a potential canidate for a title. Ellisa Morgan is only rivaled by perhaps Siera Redwin in her quest to gain the crown among the female duelers of this sport present and past. As the saying goes, Ellisa "has earned her stripes" to make this challenge regardless of the circumstances. In comparision to the current female crown holder, Ellisa surpasses
Taylara on all accounts of being worthy to be titled as "The Supreme Dueler of Swords".

I promise you this Baron of the 1st, should Ellisa Morgan win the crown from Taylara, a challenge from me to you, should you still hold your title, shall immediately commence so that I may wrest the title from you for the insult you have laid to my former student and to my teachings.

Ellisa, although I do not know you too well, I had the pleasure to meet you in the ring. You are incredibly skilled, and a pleasure to talk to. I want to wish you luck, and express my desire for you to defeat the current Overlady.

For the record Elijah, this is an incorrect statement. Ellisa has indeed challenged the Overlordship in the past, although it was several years ago.

I doubt that this alters your perception of matters nor do I wish to be seen as disagreeing with Ellisa's right to challenge. I thought you might like to know, however, in case you were basing the argument on this faulty premise.

Elijah,

How dare you insult the best of the best guys on the Baron's council. How dare you question his words. This guy happens to be one of the brightest crayons in the box if anything. Deluthan even sometimes lights my cigarette or even GIVES me a cigarette! He is generous, kind, and intelligent!

He is a relative of mine. He's my step mother's sisters roommate and since he is that, you should not question his intent, nor should you question any of my students, relatives, or anyone given the gift of actually talking to me in some kind manner. Deluthan hasn't died either. This, of course, deserves more merit, no?

Sarcastically yours and showing colors to the fullest,

- Drey

Kalamere,

Thank you for the correction, I am unsure if I was around for that challenge, and as such would not have commited it memory, or perhaps dieing three times in life makes you more senile than just getting plain old.

An explanation of my wrath to Deluthan's statements is simply this, it is my firm belief that Ellisa Morgan is not "Two-stepping" to the crown from her recently won Baron's title. While some dueler's in the past may have been accused or thought of doing such, I firmly believe Ellisa is not doing this. While Ellisa and I have barely even been
civil associates since she stopped being a student of mine, I however will still defend her dueling honor as it applies to the traditions and respect for the titles I tried to instill upon her while she was under my tutelege. I know she took those lessons to heart and understood that respect as an individual not only of superior skill, but of superior conduct in and outside of the rings as well as handling of situations revolving around the titles,
makes for a good potential canidate. Overlord challenges are meant for great tests of strength and skill between the sport's elite dueler's that people want to come and watch the match not because of the politics involved but for a championship calibur contests with the ultimate prize on the line. The crown was not meant to be passed around like some school yard slut among all the vagrants of the class who want their turn so they can simply
say..."I am one of another 40 something others" who has touched this once precious treasure. In the time that Dalamar held the crown for a year and a half, in that same amount of time since then 12 others have "gotten their turn", with perhaps only Avery being the only worthy notable exception of getting more than "sloppy seconds" by courting the crown for a third of that time, so basically that boils down to the other 11 crown holders since Dalamar
using and abusing the crown for about a month each. There is no wonder why I have lost my lust for holding the crown myself.

When Siera Red challenged and won the crown from Kalamere, she did so after having been a Warlord for over two years solid without ever losing her rank and as well after being a proven Baroness. When she made her challenge people knew she was ready and looked forward to a great bout between a multiple times Overlord and Baron and her, that is what Overlord challenges are about. Unfortunately, for Ellisa, her match won't be rivaled to that,
because as I see it, she's simply "cleaning out the trash". Yes, that's an insult to Taylara's holding of the crown titling her as "Supreme Dueler of Swords", because as I said before, Ellisa far surpasses Taylara in ever imaginable category known as credentials of being considered worthy of bearing that crown and that moniker. All you have to do is look at the comprable dueling history of the two duelers to easily see the difference in worth, and
as well see how these two have conducted themselves in matters relating to the dueling community.

Therefore it is my opnion that what Deluthan's statements reflect is an insult to those traditions and philosophy of respect for the titles by his comments about Ellisa's challenge support for such an unsavory holder of the crown. And therefore, in my opinion is not worthy to continue to hold his own title.

Madameoiselle Capitan Morgan,

I wish you the best of luck in your challenge. For what it matters, you have my support in any way that might be of assistance. Not that my support means a lot these days, but you still have it.

Elijah,
We all have our beliefs and our own thoughs. You are a friend to me and I don't mean to insult you but what is your definition of two-stepping? To me it looks like she is but I am an open person and if you could explain to me how she isn't then I will gladly listen.

Captain Morgan,
I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you in the ring or out of it. I have seen you duel many times and I can see that you are skilled. Unfortunately though I have to be the Overlady's side.
