Dear Community,
I was expecting the Baron to post but I was just informed that he got busy and couldn't. The challenge will be held tonight on the 13th at 7:30 EST. If you can make it I hope to see you there. Allow me to wish The Baron Oakenshield good luck tonight in the defence of his ring.
I will duel under the House of Norminglade's colors. The golden dragon with black fire on a midnight-blue sky. My Lady of Honor is Baroness Ariadne of the Second Ring. And as my second, the Overlady Taylara stands. As my weapon I chose my longsword Crysomer to stand against the well-proven axe of Baron Oakenshield.

Wasn't this challenge voided? I could have sworn that I read that it was. Or was it allowed to continue due to the challenge being needed to rescheduled?
Inquiring minds want to know. As far as I am aware, Daryl is inelligible to continue this challenge. And, as he fell from the warlord rankings during the challenge period, should not be allowed to continue in it.

From what I understand this is what happened. I fell from warlord statis but it was after the peers were verified and then it was after the time when the match was first to be fought. The council had also ruled that this challenge be resceduled within 2 weeks of the initial date.
Nowhere in the rules does it state that a challenge is void after the validation of peers is given. On this basis I was allowed to finish what I started and fight for the 6th Ring.

That issue was raised, but after consideration I came to the decision that, since the peer wins had been validated before the Challenger lost rank and since the challenge match had been delayed due to extenuating circumstances, the challenge was still valid. I did, in fact, void this challenge. Precident states that my decision was the correct one.
However, I was overruled on this matter by the Assistant Supervisor.
As is my way, I have accepted this ruling and will say no more on this subject.

Wrong. Var Medici-Giovanni once issued challenge to Daegarth Mithmellion, at the time holder of the Eighth Ring. Medici fell to Grand Master in the interim, and thus, his challenge was voided. On the other hand, Ulath Fici once fell below Warlord's minimum requirements before a title shot for the crown against Dalamar Ar'Daumon. However, in light of the fact that as I heard it, Fici's right to continue was granted by the fact that he won his title
shot in a Warlord's Tournament, I would be inclined to weigh in favor of the former precedent.

The problems with my challenge to Daegarth have been confused, because frankly, I was too new to know better.
When I challenged Daegarth, I never sent the peer wins into the standings keeper. The reason it was voided because by the time I realized I forgot to include the standings keeper, I dropped to Grand Master rank and therefore my peer wins were invalid. If I'm wrong, then I got a bunch of mixed messages.
Not to say that the histories are wrong, but I think the discussion was focused more on the fact that I lost rank as opposed Devon mentioning that I never sent in the peer wins to him.
Maybe someone else with more recorded information can describe it. It's been a very long time since I've thought about that challenge I messed up, and frankly it's blunders like that I don't care much for keeping in my mind.
