Twentieth Day, Ninth Month, Ninth Hour

Let it be known that on this night I bore official witness to the challenge of Deluthan Ev'rt, Baron of the First Ring, by the Warlord Daelin Dragonsblade.

The challenged Baron was accompanied only by his Lady of Honor, Pyrra, and a broadsword in his defending hand. Under the new rules of challenge, Deluthan elected a Best of Three format for this struggle.

Seconded by Warlord Cletus Ganderfald, Daelin dueled in honor of his wife, in absentia, Marit Dragonsblade. Hiw colors, the royal blue banner of Dragonia.

The Warlord's platinum blade, Warfare, served him well this night, as did his expert sidestepping. The challenge concluded after the first two duels, Daelin victorious over Deluthan by a decisive score of 5-1 in each match.

As a sanctioned official of the Arena, I hereby declare Warlord Daelin Dragonsbane now Baron Daelin Dragonsbane of the Duel of Sword's First Ring by fair and just combat. The ring has been passed. The new Baron aligns himself as renegade to the Overlord, Daegarth Mithmellon, in support, it may be noted, of the Overlord's own position regarding alignments.

Oh, good. Now it makes sense to me why the running tab in the Arena under "Dragonsbane" was so empty. But do not worry, Daelin. I made sure to correct it with the serving lads. Everything's all straightened out now.
