To The Community at Large,

This is to inform the dueling public that I have offered challenge to Overlord Sartan for the right to wear the mantle of Overlord of the Duel of Swords. To those that seek reasons for my challenge, I say only that I have exercised my right as a Baron of the duels and I shall have nothing more to say on the matter until the challenge itself. If you wish answers, I encourage you to attend the match once a date and time have been arranged.

sincerely,
The Hood

"I wonder if the ink even dried yet on the announcement of his win, " Janella laughed low, passing by and reading the Hood's letter, seeing her own posted declaration from the other night nearby.

::The Russian reads the missive and replies simply::

Overlord,
My blade is ready, should you want to test this Baron. Mayhaps I could defeat him, then remove the ring from his finger. As he did for you, to former Baron Starke.

::reads the missive, ponders a moment having walked the mile in Sartan's shoes, he pens a small note:::

Overlord,
Duel well and with honor.

Russian,
Should the Overlord be so foolish as to utilize your blade, and should you be so fortunate as to take the ring of the Baron. How long will it take to retrieve the ring you would bare should you lose it?

Hood, you have proven yourself an honorable duelist to me, and so I would cheer for you.

Sartan, my apologies to you. I have never deigned to pick sides, as it were, for this is a sport in essence and not worth the harsh feelings it can engender in some. Perhaps some will see it as laughable that I seek to explain myself for deciding I wish to see one dueler win more than another. I would rather be certain to not cause negative feelings through such a minor action.

In other words, Dalila sounds like she's ready and willing to bear The Hood's off-spring, with no offense meant to the Overlord.

That's a vote of confidence for The Hood. I wonder if Dalila has even seen his face? The Gods know he keeps it well hidden. It's cause for wonder - he's either hiding his beauty, or, a visage only a mother could love.

He wouldn't be the first, last or only hideous Baron the Arena has seen. Hell, look at Drey.
