Interesting... In the Duel of Swords, I warn any who ask me to duel that I will hold nothing back... In all my career, I only ever encountered one who complained of me using my full skills during a duel. Suddenly, I am very thankful I didn't let anyone talk me into this sport. Lord Majere... your words were a bit harsh, but I understand the feeling you've put into them. Never apologies for being who you are.

Yeah, In DoS,
I don't use any fancies against lower ranks. Except for them fancy disengages.
But one more thing,
He earned those mods. He got himself together and dueled like crazy, earned the mods and use them because of that. Did the glass earn the mods? Nope. And she complained because you used your winnings? That's sad. Just my opinion,

For one thing. It has long been a tradition that the Outback prides itself on fair fights and it's ability to make new commers feel welcome and unintimidated by the regulars or higher ranked.
Why else would the Diamond, Opals, and Emeralds only be allowed six preset 'modified' moves?
In my opinion, due to the gross number of mods someone recieves when they are given a rank other than Glass, they should be careful when dueling Glass or ranks lower than yourself. For one simple reason: It's just simply not fair. Dalamar, I would be you a bag of coppers that lass would have no problem losing to a higher rank such as yourself if you would have used your SKILL instead of your RANK.
And its not just Dalamar doing this. When I was dueling as a Glass for all of two weeks, even stated "I am a Glass, no mods, no Emerald" I got modded to death simply because my opponents couldn't handle a fair fight.
It's all about common courtesy, if you don't know someone's rank then ask them, or go look at the standings for a change instead of assuming you know everything. Both of those are very easy unless you are blind or mute.

(( A little reason I didn't take this discuession OOC: Mods can be an In-character thing as well. The brawlers have a pre-set limit of the times they can score a full point of half point with the moves they display. I mean it just wouldn't be right to say "Jon does one helluva defense ( Fancy Arm Block )" And all he does is flail his arms in his RPing in the room. While his opponent may plainly Leap in the air and the call would be "And Jack just
manages a plain leap" while Jack on the otherhand maybe does a backflip or something. ))

I kinda disagree with this and would like to add my thought on it.....
It has long been a tradition that the Outback whines when you use modified moves
Nobady ever went out and taught my generation this tradition you talk of Roland. If you've ever seen me duel you would know what I mean. Instead of teaching newcommers of this tradition many of the higher ranks just yell at you or frown apon it. That makes the person either stop what their doing...or in my case do it more. You dont like how I duel then don't duel me. Oh and one last thing in my rambling......most people use fancies, a few use feints.
Just because you dont use feints in the rings doesn't mean they are evil. Dont understand? Drop a message on my wall and i'll explain more.

That's, um, quite an apology there, Dalamar. Very..ah...heartfelt and sobering. Especially the latter half of it - I could feel the honest goodwill and regret in your tone.
