::Rask walked into the Outback and strolled over to the Contest Board::
Ack! ::He exclaimed as he caught sight of it and jumped away.::
::The board was covered in a fine film of web. Was that spider web?:: How long since we used this thing? ::Rask asked quietly:: And how long since anyone has really looked at it?
::As he looked closer, he saw a virtual ecosystem unto itself. Several small bugs caught in the web, a few being devoured by spiders. Underneath the web, there was what appeared to be a layer of moss, possibly even some fungus here and there. Various insects took their time digesting what they could.:: Well...at least they aren't giant termites.
::With money as tight as it always seemed to be in the Outback, Rask decided it was time to get rid of the Contest Board.:: It's just another thing to clean. ::He said as he took the board down and walked it outside, doing his best to remain bug free::
I haven't even fully repaid Layne yet. ::He mumbled as he set the board down and looked at it. Thinking it would be best to dispose of it completely, he dragged it a safe distance from any structure and set it on fire. He then returned to the Outback::
Nothing's ever simple around here! ::As he walked back to the Main Message Board and posted the notice for the next Opal Quest::
A Quest for ICE Dancer!
OK folks, it's time to find out who the next holder will be. The Quest will be held on November 6, starting at 10pm by the Eastern clock in the Outback.
The format will be Double Elimination and only the first 8 entries will be accepted. You must be of the Emerald Rank to enter.
Please send your reservations to me. ((email to RDI Rask))
Good luck and fight well!

Oh how I wish that Emerald was still mine. Make it a good brawl, people. The IceDancer deserves it, you know.

After being away for a good while, the warrior enters the Outback at a time when no one is around... when no one is ever around. While making his way across the floor to the message boards, he notices that something seems different. It isn't until he is standing directly in front of the main message board that he realizes what is missing. "What in the...." His eyes narrow to slits as he looks around, searching for the contests board. After a brief scanning of the area, and no sighting of the contests board does he turn to the main board and start glancing over the missives. One of the short notes catches his eye, and he turns his full attention to that one. A slight shrug, and he speaks aloud, although to himself, "I guess they're using this one." Whipping out the almighty pencil (a pencil you ask? He must have lost his pen), he writes......I would like to wish all the participants in the Opal Quest the best of luck. I'm sure Icedancer will be pleased with the new holder.BaneAfter second thoughts on the pen(cil)ing, he turns the writing utencil backward and starts using what he's heard to be called the omitter to take the last part out. One last glance and a nod is spared, and he continues to his looking over the board.
