:: sitting in the Manor at Atrebla after practicing in the glade in the woods Dexter was ready for the Tournament. Some might think he was out of practice not dueling since losing to Menolii in the challenge rounds last tournamnet. He knew Jeff would be tough as would Wulf, both having a lot to prove in Magic and both only will be satisfied with a title. He debated as to which Power he would likely take for the tournament...not having used Immolation
very well he considered falling back on the more agressive Nether Ray. Either way he decided he woudl make sure he was a force to be contended with, low ranked or not.

Many had much to prove in the latest tournament. Dans knew who she would like to see as ArchMage. There were two actually. No three, truly she would not mind bearing the title herself, but she had severe doubts of it happening anytime soon. She would like to Menolii continue as ArchMage. Her friend was by far the most truly visible of the ArchMages in many a cycle and there was no doubt as toher integrity and sportsmanship. Wulfson was her second choice and in her mind deserved it the most. He had the second best record and in her mind, had paid his dues. He was highly visible on Twilight Island. Most knew who he was. Sadly, she could not say that about many of the other mages who might duel this eve. A few were known, of course, outside of the duels of magic. Some had blazed trails in the duels of fists and swords. Some had abandoned magic. There were many excusesand viable reasons for their lack of presence. Some she even accepted. But when you got to the heart of it, she thought, did any of them truly deserve to win? She didn't know. What she did know was that whoever was on their game would be ArchMage. Everyone had their favorites.

Wulfson did defeat the mages of DoM and earn the right to Duel Menolii for the title. Good luck Challenger and Archmage.
