The Diamond Quest!

In a round robin tournament that took most of the night, the fighters duel hard and long, each claiming their niche.

Round 1

The small turnout made for a cozy night of round robin dueling, and a fresh start was given with bets flying as to who the next Diamond would be! The duels began with:

Dizzy and Anubis with Dizzy taking the win!

Janella and Jaycy and it was Janella by a landslide.

Tareth and Magnus with Tareth the easy victor.

Round 1 results

Janella 1-0
Anubis 0-1
Magnus 0-1
Jaycy 0-1

Round 2

The duelers were still fresh as they began the second round in the round robin. G'nort valiently offered to take the bye's for everyone that night so they didn't have to use theirs up, and spectators were still antsy and curious. This round was fast and furious as:

Tareth fought Janella who pretty nearly shut him out for the win in only 6 rounds!

Jaycy fought Dizzy who took the win

Anubis fought Magnus who gave him a bit of trouble, but in the end Anubis won.

Round 2 Results:

Dizzy 2-0
Janella 2-0
Anubis 1-1
Magnus 0-2
Jaycy 0-2

Round 3

...found Anubis and Tareth in the Pit! Much to the dismay of the reticent Anubis, Tareth took that win covered in mud.

Dizzy and Janella took their turn, Janella leaving Dizzy behind to remain undefeated.

Jaycy and Magnus fought it out but Jaycy was left behind in the dust.

Round 3 Results:

Magnus 1-2

Round 4

Round 4.. the next to last in the DQ and Janella remains undefeated! She was looking to be the next Diamond with a sweep! Could someone stop her? Here:

Magnus and Dizzy dueled in the can, and the galantly fighting woman took the win.

Anubis and Janella dueled, totally annihalting the tough Warrioress' winning streak..

Tareth and Jaycy flirted around smoozing and bantering, but Tareth was the smooth joe and swept her off her feet for the win.

Round 4 Results:

Dizzy 3-1
Janella 3-1
Anubis 2-2
Magnus 1-3
Jaycy 0-4


Round 5

It was down to the wire with three people in the running for the diamond. Janella, Dizzy and Tareth.. everyone was paying rapt attention. Poor Jaycy, who'd taken quite a beating from everyone, left for dead on the ice, mudded up in the Pit, kicked around in the can, and bounced and beaten by Fern fronds, and
remained without a single win, asked to foreit the last round with Anubis because of her injuries, with much understanding.

Janella and Magnus fought on the Fern. In a diamond career turning moment for Janella, Magnus upset her solid chance by defeating her.

With Janella now down to a 3-2 record, it was the battle royal in the Jello Ring where the winner of the duel would walk away with a 4-1 record, and thus the coveted Diamond. Tareth and Dizzy fought hard, but Dizzy pounded him into the jello for the landslide win!

Magnus 2-3
Jaycy 0-5


From 7:30 - 12:30 (EST), with Sarah and Jinnaiya watching, fists flew, kicks sliced through the air, and screams of defiance rang through the great Outback all moving for the same goal, all seeking to hold the justice of the Diamond so it could be they who made the Diamond noteworthy. In the end amongst the bruised and battered fighters, Dizzy stood tall (but amazed) as she realized that it had been her that now had the task of weilding the gem.


Congratulations Ms. Dizzy Flores for your victory, make us proud!
