Blue Opal Challenge Results



On the first Saturday of May at two in the afternoon, Jake and Chris met in the Pit at the Outback to decide which of them would be the holder of IceDancer or the BeerCooler as it has become to be known.

It took several hours and three hard fought matches to finally determine a winner. In the first match, Jake took an early lead which Chris was never able to match. Jake took the win with a final score of 5 to 2 after 11 rounds. The tides quickly changed hands as Chris managed to keep Jake contained in the second match with a final score of 5 to 0 after 7 rounds. Therefore, it came down to a final match. The score remained close with both
duelers picking up points evenly. However, it was Chris who came out on top with a 5 to 3 win after 9 rounds.

After three tough and entertaining matches, Chris Graziano emerged the new holder of the Blue Opal. Congratulations, Chris. Well tried, Jake.
