Diamond Quest Results!



What a night! Diamond Quest came and went on Saturday, October 12th, and there were seven strong competitors! Because of the number, it was decided the system would be round robin, and it was one long night.

Ria came to see if she could take the Diamond a second cycle in a row, but Matt, Face, Tim, Anubis, Stick, and Harris were there to stop her. She started out strong with a win over Stick, but then suffered three straight losses to ensure she wouldn't be taking it home a second time.

Tim tried valiantly, but he didn't get a win until the last round of fighting, and Anubis only took one win himself. Stick dropped two of her first three, but then came back to win the three next duels to keep things exciting. Face spent the night winning one and then losing the next, ending up with a 3-3 record for the night.

The real interesting story of the night was Harris and Matt. Harris remained undefeated until the 5th round (a loss to Matt), and Matt held on til the 6th (dropping one to Stick). The last round, Matt faced Ria and Harris met Face. Had they both lost, there would have been a four-way tie for first place, with a record of 4-2!

However, they both won, and ended up with identical 5-1 records. At that point they were sent onto the Ice for a one-duel, winner-take-all faceoff. It only took 8 short rounds, and at the end of it, Matt had again bested Harris to claim another Diamond!
