InterGender War Three Has Come to an End!!

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The Third Outback InterGender War has ended and this time, the guys have taken the title with the largest margin of victory thus far seen in an IGW, a twenty-three (23) duel lead (91-74)!  Congratulations to the males!

Thirty-one (31) men and an equal number of ladies participated in this IG War, but only five (5) of the ladies boasted a winning record compared to fifteen (15) men.  The ladies sorely missed past InterGender heavyweights such as former female champion Ria Graziano (only 4 duels with a 2-2 record) and Angelina Darkling (only 1 duel with a 1-0 record).  The guys, meantime, managed to gain a solid victory without dominating performances by past IG forces Xerzes Maureen (6 duels, 4-2 record) and Cory Havoick (6 duels, 2-3-1 record).

Coming out on top for the guys: Anubis Karos with an undefeated 7-0 record!  That ties the record set by Xerzes Maureen in the Second IG War.  With the undefeated record, Anubis gets first pick of the two Opals up for grabs in this tournament (MoonBeryl and FireStar)!

The leader for the ladies: Dizzy Flores.  After two second place finishes in the first two Wars (to Ria and Arriana), Diz finally takes the crown for the girls with a 70% winning percentage (16-7).  Finishing with a lower winning % than Anubis, she'll receive the Opal unchosen by the slaver.

The Outback staff extends congratulations to both Anubis and Dizzy for their fine performances in this IG War.  Well done!

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Overall, the InterGender War male vs. female record now stands at 01-01-01.  The bragging rights belong to nobody!  And, this being the end of the Third IG War, it's time to take a look back on some IG history and statistics!

First, the end results of the IG Wars:

InterGender War #1 Final Score: Ladies 200, Guys 182
InterGender War #2 Final Score: Ladies 75, Guys 75*
InterGender War #3 Final Score: Ladies 74, Guys 91
*Following Bode's challenge, Ria and Bode duked it out for the overall IG title, and Ria was leading 4-1 when Bode mysteriously disappeared.  Ria refused to take the win and, in taking the tie, forced an overall tie result.

Looking at the overall stats, the Ladies hold the most IG victories by the slimmest of margins: one (1) duel!**

IG Total Wins (Ladies): 349
IG Total Wins (Guys): 348
**Although the total IG duel amount sits at 1420, duels under the minimum amount of six (6) and five (5) were not recorded in the final tally of the First and Second InterGender Wars.  All statistics in this writing are taken from the final recorded tallies for all IG wars, as they are all that exist.  The results of the Third IG War include all duelers, whether they made the top bracket or not.  Out of the 1420 duels, results for 1123 are known.

Most Duels:

Ever wonder who had the most InterGender duels in one war?  Well, for the guys, it's Welan from the first IG War, with fifty-three (53) matches and a 27-26 overall record!  Koy holds the honor for the girls, also from the first IG War, with thirty-eight (38) matches and a 26-12 record!

Best Winning %***:

Best winning percentage ever boasted by a gal comes from the second IG War, where Arianna had a 7-1 record (88%).  Anubis Karos (third IG War) and Xerzes Maureen (second IG War) are tied for the men with 100% (7-0) records.
***The % calculations changed from War to War, with the first and third wars not counting ties, and the second war having ties counted as losses when considering winning %.

Most Overall Duels:

After all three wars, who's got the most duels logged?
Ladies: Dizzy Flores (58)
Guys: Welan (53)

Again, congratulations to the winners of this IG War; who knows what'll happen next time!
