Yes, on the 15th of July I witnessed the challenge between Grayson MacLeod and Tareth Thorn for PathFinder. You wouldn't believe how *massive* the crowd was to watch these two titans duke it out. Insert snickering here. Anyway...

The opening match was fought in the ring of Grayson's choice, which happened to be the Ice. Seesaw matches aren't any fun, but it was entertaining to watch Grayson plow through Tareth with a pair of spinkicks, one at the sudden death mark, to win the first match 5-4 in 11 rounds. Poor Tareth.

But that Tareth proved to be a fighter, catching the challenger thrice with sweeps in the midst of his ducks, this after being rattled by a pair of jabs connecting solidly over his leg blocks. In the end Tareth pulled away, 5-3 in 9 rounds.

The third match was fought on the Opal's home turf, namely the Fern. After four rounds of combat we were even at two points apiece, and that's the last time we were even. Tareth opened the widest gap of the night, again running Grayson's duck over with a sweep, grounding his leap with a fierce jab, and finally crushing his jab with a well placed arm block. Final score, 5-2 in 9 rounds. Yes, Tareth still has PathFinder. Somebody injure him and take it.
