Vic invests his money less than wisely

::Vic smiled as he looked at the deed in his hands, naming him owner of the small wooden building, he had gotten an incredable deal on it. A broken neon sign hung over the door, final testament to the previous' owners failure to make a success of the venture. Vic walked into the main room and began shaking the dust off the sheets which draped over the odd shaped tables. After several days of cleaning, he took stock of his situation: arun down casino with an empty bar, 2 blackjack tables and a poker table covered in worn felt, a broken roulette wheel, rigged he had noticed in passing, and three slot machines which worked, but for which he did not have the key to the cash boxes...a fact he hadn't realized until he had plugged almost fifty dollars in. His spirits rapidly sinking, he dragged the Roulette wheel into the store room to work on in his spare time. The slot machines heleft out on the assumption that if they filled up with enough money, he'd simply smash them open and purchase new ones with the proceeds. Outside he hung a sheet with the words: Grand Opening of Vic's Casino! Free Drinks! After spending his last few US dollars on bottles to stock the bar, he rigged a double barrelled sawed off shotgun under the only uncovered table, stuffed a wad of Confederate bills in the cash box (he had been amazed and delighted to discover that people would accept it as valid currency in RhyDin), and sat back, dreaming of the riches that would be his.::

After his first week in business, Vic had formed the impression that he might need a new promotion to get people into the casino. The place had been packed every night, but it seemed that most of them were simply taking advantage of the free liquor and only a handful (five to be exact) had actually gambled. Of those who had gambled he had taken in around $70.00, a half dozen gold peices and 30 gumdrops that the kender had bet. The kender had
obviously not understood what exactly was going on at the table, and Vic was convinced that the little fellow had actually taken a barstool with him when he left. The three little old ladies that spent their days at the slot machines were providing steady income, but Vic couldn't get to the money. Smashing the slot machines now would mean losing his three best customers. Being a business man was proving to be much more difficult than he had
anticipated.
