Requiem ~~ Love's Last Good Bye

It had seemed a lifetime ago that she had left to follow him. And so it was.....

Returning home to their cottage in RhyDin, she finds it empty..... truly empty this time. Daemon was gone from RhyDin, and gone from her life as well.

Removing the delicately cast wedding band, she takes it's mate from a small velvet pouch setting them beside each other on the palm of her small hand. Closing her hand around them she speaks in a near whisper.... of vows spoken, of declarations of love made. A lone tear falls as the two rings entwine... never to be parted again.... not until she and Daemon are joined in heart once again as well. Sighing deeply, her heart troubled and heavy,
she fears that will never be. Daemon has chosen to remain on Faerûn with their daughter, Bria... Destiny. He asked, nearly insisted, that she leave the two of them alone.

He had explained that he couldn't return to RhyDin, and that she was unable remain with them on Faerún. He told her of what was to be in their daughter's life, speaking of her heritage from Tribe G'Luscus, as well as those things which were to be a fulfillment of things foretold for her future. This was something that Khrys was unable to share in, though they both might wish it otherwise. This was something that he must do for their beautiful
child alone.

Resigning herself to the peccadilloes of fate, and cursing..... as well as blessing..... again the twist of events that had caused her to so love this man, she came home to the one place she had found love. RhyDin. To their cottage... her only home.

Kissing the joined rings almost reverently, she gently places them in her jewelry box.

Mayhaps one day he will find his way back to her......
