"Make your choice, now! Marit Takcouma, now." The man spoke through calmness.

She tilted her head. "I don't want to leave Rhydin. There are friends there I care about, friends I love, activities I thoroughly enjoy."

"I can nay give answers for ye, Lady. Ye 'ave only a moment's time to make yer decision. Tell me whether ye are going to step through the portal or stay. Tis one world or the only." He stated and again calmly.

Marit turned her head toward the arena, the place she loved dearly. She turned and looked toward the portal where the image of a small lad sat beneath a tree. A little one with eyes of blue and hair of gold and a small tear streaming down his angelic face.

"The portal, I choose." She said quietly.

The lord smiled and laughed. "No one said ye could nay come back." With that, he winked. "M'lady, I must say that sometimes ye amuse me to certain ends. Ye shall 'ave all the protection ye need there in the world nay yers. Most important, M'lady is faith. Keep that and ye shall win what it is yer soul so desireth. Ye shall win that and more."

Marit turned to look at the arena and smiled.

"He's right...." she whispered. "Tis a magickal world that only moves should we let the little demons move it."

~And through the portal she stepped, knowing she'd be back when the time was right~
