A chain of sayings

::He goes to the boards and writes::
Ladies and gentlemen of DoS,
There have been, in my point of view, some people making decisions that have harmed themselves and others. I am not one to make chains here, but I feel it might be a good idea for anyone interested to put a little positive saying down. Hopefully these sayings will help those that read it take a moment to think about things, and hopefully influence them to act positively in life.
I shall begin with two sayings I believe strongly in.
"The greatest teachers you'll ever have in your life are your mistakes"
::Grins, writing the second::
"My wife and children are the best"
::Hopes people write sayings with content more on the former, for he feels with everything going on in DoS, sometimes people need to refer to interesting thoughts to help them get a new perspective::

::jots down a quick quote and sets it up on the board with an amused grin::
"Cowards die many times before their deaths;
The valiant never taste of death but once,
Of all the wonders that I yet have heard,
It seems to me most strange that men should fear;
Seeing that death, a necessary end,
Will come when it will come"

Once upon a time in a land where gardens were worshipped for their beauty. There were three students who went to the garden to meditate. Upon reaching the gate they noticed that the gardens were closed for the day. They rang the bell at the front gate until the master came and asked them what they wanted. The first student said he wanted a rose so that he could admire it's beauty while the gardens were
closed. The second student said he wanted an herb so that he could admire it's fine aroma while the gardens were closed. The third student said he wanted a piece of shrub so that he could admire it's tenacity while the gardens were closed.
The master bid them to wait while he fullfilled their desires. When he returned he handed the first student a rose, the second student an herb and the third student a piece of shrub. The first student said "There are thorns on this rose!". The second student enthusiastic with the observations of the first student said "There is a clod of dirt on the roots of this herb!". The third student said "There is a dead leaf in this piece of shrub!". The
master looked at them and said "Please forgive me I didn't realize what you really wanted please return those to me and I shall be right back.".
The master returned and he handed the first student a handfull of thorns, the second student an dirt clod and the third student a dead leaf. All three of the students looked at him in disbelief "What is this? This isn't what we asked for!"
The master looked at all of them and said "No that isn't what you asked for. I gave you what you asked for and I now give you all you saw. Go and contemplate that."

::Smiles softly:: What a wonderful idea, Var...... Here's one of my favorites....... A good one to live by............
Take Time
Take time to work~~~
It is the price of success.
Take time to think~~~
It is the source of power.
Take time to play~~~
It is the secret of perpetual youth.
Take time to read~~~
It is the fountain of wisdom.
Take time to be friendly~~~
It is the road to happiness.
Take time to dream~~~
It is hitching your wagon to a star.
Take time to look around~~~
It is too short a day to be selfish.
Take time to laugh~~~
It is the music of the Soul.
Take time love and to be loved~~~
It is the privilege of the Gods.

::thumbs through all the happy sayings and puts something down::
Terror is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Although you may not have heard this much, I believe it to be an extremely important fact to remember whenever you feel the least bit afraid. Along this line, one could say We have nothing to fear but fear itself. This means that any fear, or terror, that you have, it not only will most likely come to pass, but the root of it is your own fear, not the object of your fear. These two
statements in combination can help improve your outlook on life, but only is you can just let your fear of the future evaporate.

And it shall come to pass that what men made shall be shattered, and the Shadow shall lie across the Pattern of the Age, and the Dark One shall once more lay his hand upon the world of man. Women shall weep, and men quail as the nations of the earth are rent like rotting cloth, neither shall anything stand nor abide...

With his coming are the dread fires born again. The hills burn, and the land turns sere. The tides of men run out, and the hours dwindle. The wall is pierced, and the veil of parting raised. Storms rumble beyond the horizon, and the fires of heaven purge the earth. There is no salvation withough destruction, now hope this side of death.
