To all:
What goes around comes around. Most of you have noticed that quote deliciously placed under Var's signature, "When you throw mud your hands get dirty." Well, darlings, I am now going to throw mud.
Huma was rash, mmmhmm, we all agree on that I think. People think he should be forgiven? Hah! Huma..get a grip! You aren't the only one who has a hard life. We all have lives, and we all have drawbacks. You need to just stop and smell the sewage your tossing at people. It disgusts me, thoroughly.
You lost a ring. I can understand that you are upset, but that gives you absolutely NO excuse to claim that ring yours. Nor does this give you excuse to whine your blood head off.
This note has no purpose but to 'throw mud'. I'm sick of Huma's whining, I'm sick of all this...bad stuff...that's polluting DoS. I just had to get that out bluntly so you all could see what these events and posts look like through the eyes of a foolish girl.
Love, peace, and no harmony as angels sing, no offense Cyggy :)*!

:::once more takes up the pen:::
It seems yer words have caused a bit of excitement here, Huma. I for one do not take offense at what you said in anger. And for those that do, well, if you know in yer hearts that you are worthy, that you honorable, then you should not let this offend you. I personally do find it strange that the Ring of the only renegade baron was treated so improperly. But, that's just my opinion. I for one hope Huma does gain the chance to get the Ring back.
Note, I say the chance. Keep in mind that there's one heckuva lot of good duelists out there. Yer quest fer vengeance may be a long time in coming, my friend.
A final note: It seems that whenever a situation like this comes up, we all draw our battle lines. Don't ya'll think it's time to erase the lines in the sand? Remember, some of us, I would hope all, do this because it's supposed to be....
FUN!

Dear lord, I've never seen such a long thread of endless cliches.
Do you all not understand the understandable? How obvious could it possibly be? This is why Huma is mad and why he's going to get even more depressed and angry once he losses his worthless challenge.
One, his wife left him. Who knows why? Perhaps she had an affair becuase Huma couldn't satisfy her... or she had to go to some distant, unheard of land because of a death in the family... whatever. This was the first blow.
Two, He get's crippled by some newbie warlord, and he lost his Ring, a second of his love.
Third... well, this Jessie guy tosses back the ring he claimed from Huma to Luthy as if the ring itself didn't matter. Now Huma's ego has gone from briused to battered. To top off this list of bad (but entertaining) events, Huma see's that he isn't even a Warlord anymore, and his ego goes from battered to mauled.
Now what could Huma's responce possiblly be? He could stalk out Jessie and have him killed. This can't work of course because Huma is a creature of 'honor'. Since he is a creature of honor, he feels the need to prove himself once again, no matter what everyone else thinks.
What to do?
Let's get the ring back!
But, what is wrong with this equation? Huma is still an enraged animal. Unlike an animal though, he is not dangerous. So in his enraged mind, he will make stupid mistakes and lose his challenge, unless the claimer of the fourth ring is dumber the a brain damaged senceless worm squirming into a fire... which wouldn't surpirse me with some of the people around here.
The question you people should be asking is, what will Huma do if he wins? Or...
What will Huma do once he losses?
Will he go through a fit of depession, refuse to eat, drink heavy liquor for the next seventeen years and put himself in dangerous situations on purpose to get him misrable life over with?
Or will he come back to reality and figure out that the only thing that matters in life is yourself?
To tell you the truth, the fatal mistake Huma made was that he got married... look where it got him.

People, people, people.... if some blowhard wants to make insulting comments and threats on the kiosk, let him do it, but DON'T take it personally. This kind of stuff pisses me off. I think he can all learn a little something from the immortal words of Rodney King <ewg>. CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?
Note: I expect this note to be ignored and I am not gonna respond back

::rapidly drums her fingers on the wall as she leans and reads::
Hmm....
::writes:::
~ Now we know how everyone feels about this. I say fine....let the Tournament proceed. Let the vacant rings be thusly won. And then, let us watch Huma challenge the future bearer of the 4th. In that match, some of us will cheer Huma, and some of us will cheer that Baron 4. If one stops to peer through the highflung emotions, one might see that perhaps little has changed. That the rings are fought for, won, lost,
passed on, and regained. If the 4th ring is Huma's, he will win it back....and he will retain it as long as that belief remains steadfast in his heart.
I was not pleased at the events after Jesse's challenge, anymore than I was pleased with the brash and insulting wording before the challenge. I fear I will always hold that duelist in contempt, which is sad...as I've always thought myself more optimistic than this. However, time passes, memories dull, but the more fuel put on this pyre, we all risk bearing this ill-fated vision much longer than it needs be borne. I for one am not prepared to
let go of the magic of the Duel. I choose to look ahead and will now silently hope that others do the same.
It's Huma's ring? We will watch and see.
It could very well be...

Huma,
Sorry about that loss and Jesse.......it is a good thing you did not keep that ring for I would have been the first one in line, pal. ::grins vivaciousnessly:: I did not even dis a ring or some one that bad. Well, I still stand by Huma and always will no matter his rank for I know he will take it back. And all you howling about his ways, take a look at yours first. Like Lily's post caught my eye. Lily try lifting your morals before dissing
Huma's.

What in the NAME OF THE GODS is this person trying to convey? What is this *dissing*? he keeps talking about?
Would everyone that agrees that Evan should at least present a certificate of completion for *Basic Concepts of Common Language* before he ever posts again or challenges for a ring...please say *I*.
