Ta da community of da Duel of Swords,

I, Jeffrey Oakenshield, do hereby annouce me retirement from da rings I so loved. Tis not about an inability ta duel, or even da lost of me most current barons' ring. I have been recently wed ta da beautiful Occurs Summer Rose, and would verra much like ta spend more time wit her.
I have had me moments of glory, and me moments of shame. Much has happened ta me in da rings, in such a short time. 15 times I entered da center ring ta face an opponent over a barons' ring. 3 times I entered a ring as an Overlord's champion. And countless times I did enter da ring fer da pure enjoyment of da sport. But I say ta ye all dat me greatest accomplishment here was no record or ring. It was achieving great friendships with all of me fellow patrons.
I hope da sport does flourish, fer dere may come a time I shall return ta da rings, but until such a time...remember dat records and ranks are fleeting...friendship and fun is forever.

I extend me warmest danks ta all of ya fer a great one and a half years of duelin'. I will never forget ya, and I hope ye will nae ferget me.

Jeff, you've always been a legend around here. With you leaving, a large portion of the history and legacy of the sport goes with you. The space you'll take can never be filled, and I for one am proud to say I'd known ya.
I want to thank you for your time with me in the rings, and your always kind disposition. You helped me get my jacket....you helped me set goals for myself...and you always wear a patient listener whenever I felt the need to whine.
Shorty, I'll hate to see you go, but I know it's for the best.

Few things could possibly move me to such sadness as seeing this come to pass. You have, in your tenure in this sport, symbolized much of what it truly is meant to stand for. I truthfully had never considered that you might make such a decision, and its suddenness strikes the sport to its very core.

Jeff,

It pains me to know that you are leaving. I will have to find someone else to lose leads and duels to consistantly. And while I know there are many that will gladly do this, no one can ever fill your spot. You have done things in the rings and in the duels that no one else has, and most can only dream about. I applaud your success.
I wish you and Summer the best of luck and the happiest of days. Someday, return and let Chaos bite into Laman's Pride again. I'll be looking forward to it.

Yes, that's how I always think of you. I sometimes just say Jeff, that is, if I catch myself calling you Baron during one of those rare moments when you aren't a Baron.

You have accomplished much here. I shall miss you and your respectful manner. Your optimism served as optimism for me and your levity has brought me many times away from a deep melancholy.

Jeffery Oakenshield,

We've never been friends and often times we were rivals in many things, including many of the challenges you mentioned. However, at least with you I knew where I stood and my relationship stood with you in comparision to a great many other wussies who call themselves duelers around here. You do have my respect and admiration, and in my eyes will always be welcomed here in the rings, and a Baron Eternal.
