Tom,
I'm surprised at your words! What's this about a pie in my face? I have seen direspect fall from Agrenish's mouth one too many times. I have seen him act with such arrogance and stupidy it makes you wonder. But he holds that ring with honor. He holds what he appreciates with honor. Believe me, he appreciates that ring.
Now, if I may quote you, you said:
"Agrenish, why write so sloppy, you want us to not understand what you wrote for some reason? Hmm? You have no right to put down Unagi, everyone but you and that "Lily Lesprit" find him to be honorable. You just can't accept the fact that you're going to be challenged."
Well, not all Barons are perfect grammatically speaking. Look at Avery or Evan.
As to putting down a dueler. Everyone is entilted to an opinion. Everyone has a right of free speech, so don't tell him what rights he has or doesn't have.
As to a third note, you put my name into quotations. Were you implying something? Do you not believe that I exist? Do you think my name 'tis not Lily Lesprit? Or do you think I eloped with the Baron but forgot to change my name? If you believed ANY of the above, you were quite mistaken.
For a last note, if I did read correctly, Agrensih stated he was expecting a challenge. If that's so, how can he not face the fact that he is being challenged? hmmmm?
Many sweet regards,
Lily Lesprit.

Lily,
>>>>>>Tom,
I'm surprised at your words! What's this about a pie in my face? I have seen direspect fall from Agrenish's mouth one too many times. I have seen him act with such arrogance and stupidy it makes you wonder. But he holds that ring with honor. He holds what he appreciates with honor. Believe me, he appreciates that ring.<<<<
Why do they surprise you, you think I don't like to voice my opinion or something? And we are yet to see if he holds it with honor, a week is not long enough to tell...
>>As to putting down a dueler. Everyone is entilted to an opinion. Everyone has a right of free speech, so don't tell him what rights he has or doesn't have.<<
Did I say people couldn't have their own opinions? Nooo... try reading the post correctly next time.
>>As to a third note, you put my name into quotations. Were you implying something? Do you not believe that I exist? Do you think my name 'tis not Lily Lesprit? Or do you think I eloped with the Baron but forgot to change my name? If you believed ANY of the above, you were quite mistaken.<<
I never knew you were Lily Lesprit and since you signed your name Lily Lesprit on the note, it was your quote so I felt I needed them, anything else you got from that is yer own fault.
>>For a last note, if I did read correctly, Agrensih stated he was expecting a challenge. If that's so, how can he not face the fact that he is being challenged? hmmmm?<<
I wasn't really trying to get across the fact that someone challenged Agrenish, he may have very well expected it... I Was wondering why he chose to write so sloppily (weird font) so that I couldn't even read it... >>Well, not all Barons are perfect grammatically speaking. Look at Avery or Evan.<< and for evan and such, at least I can read what they wrote, let alone understand it.
>>Many sweet regards,
Lily Lesprit.
Ms. Hypocrite.<< Not to pick apart your ENTIRE post or anything, do I sense a bit of sarcasm there?

I know ye not well, Unagi, but wish ye the best of luck and skill. I have seen your honor in action in the rings, and respect it greatly. Tis really too bad some people must stoop to the level of base insults about speech patterns, but their karma shall suffer the price.

True, a finger is a finger is a finger. Perhaps it is the extreme contempt your "darling" holds towards others that people find dishonorable, tasteless, and trite and so wish to see someone with more worth and honor than he hold the ring.

::Notes Lupton's note on the board and can't help but remember a meeting that took place with regard's to his challenge to the Lady Topaz.::
Baron Lupton~~~
You write the following, and I can't help but be reminded that during your meeting with Topaz to set the specifics for your challenge to her for the 9th ring, you boldly stated that it was "a tradition for the challenger to choose the time, place, and/or caller of the duel." You then went on to state that "it had been so for over 2 years." You behaved rudely to those present in the meeting when you informed that you couldn't have everything your
way. Now, in your note regarding this challenge you state the following.......
There is no greater rudeness than a challenger demanding a specific setting against the challenged in the original challenge missive.
No matter who is involved, traditions remain and each Baron or Baroness deserves these basic rights of choice.
~Lupton est Dracoern
Are we to assume, then, that your making multiple demands of Topaz was less rude and disrepectful of the position she held than Unagi stating simply when he is available?
You can't have it both ways.......

Khrysta,
Please, refrain from misquoting me. I informed Topaz that while the challenged Baron reserves the right to designate the date and time, the challenger has generally had the right to select a referee. It is the former right of the challenger I demanded.
In the future, m'lady, get your facts straight.

A few notes,
To begin with, as much as it's Lily's right to find Agrenish honorable, I can simply say I disagree.
We'll begin with the challenge between him and I.
a) He insulted Lady Drake as she was announcing. Maybe it was lighthearted humor, but I saw no hint of jest behind it.
b) The lack of sportsmanship when he won. Granted, I was sad handing the ring away, which is natural, but he rubbed the victory in my face (least I felt he did).
c) The simple disregard of the new rules in effect, which state that all barons MUST declare alignment upon recieving the ring.
As Lily said, he holds what he appreciates with honor. He appreciates that ring. Shall we see just how much honor, Lily? In response to Unagi's challenge (which I deemed sincere), Agrenish writes:
>A shame it is that it was you. I bet you were wanting me to beat Varro just so you could make a sniviling challenge.<
Insult
>1. What makes you think you can beat me?<
Arrogance. I'm a firm believer anyone can beat anyone else. It just takes longer for some.
>2. If you don't think you can beat me, why did you bother challenging?<
I didn't read a word from Unagi's issued challenge saying he doubted success, nor did he state he would succeed.
>3. Why can't you talk or write correctly?<
Insult, which also had nothing to do with the challenge.
>I doubt this challenge match will come any time soon, I'm going to be gone for about a week and a half, but once I get back... I'll be sure to snuff you out quickly so I can wipe your blood off my boots as I leave and be home in time to feed my parott.<
Arrogance? Insult? Both?
Remember, the above five cases were holding the ring as a baron. In my honest opinion, Lily, either you do not read Agrenish's words, or your sense of "honor" is not in correlation with the basic definition. I believe it was Brian Girvin whom wrote an exceptionally well posting stating what he believes honor is, where I believe it was Avery who began the trend.

Most of us has our own views of people, be it good or bad. Some find others agreeable others do not....myself included. This challange is for Agrenish and Unagi, but half of the messages on this board, I found, attacked Lily. I beseech all members of the DoS to not attack others for thier fews on people. It is childish to do so. Don't get me wrong...there is nothing wrong with stating your opinion, but refain from attacking people. Unless of
course, it is in the ring.

Agrenish...
Yer arrogant.. I'll say no more..
UNagi..
The defender of the ring choses the time, etc. by tradition.
Lily,
I was in the shoes you wear now.. and was attacked for defending someone that I loved, perhaps not the exact case here, but hold your head up.. walk through it.
