I will begin by saying that the time and date are not a cause of difficulty, and I will be there when the time comes. I will wear the azure and sable ofmy family, and I shall duel under the banner of the Sleeping Lion of Clermont, a sable lion couchant upon field azure.
My second will be the honourable Warlady Jola Feren Savage. My Lady of Honour will be my beautiful fiance the lady Sarana.

My offer is this. The loser will wait a full cycle before challenging again for a Baron's ring. If I lose I will not challenge for the rank of Baron until after the next Warlord's Tourney, and will not accept a ring as a prize in that Tourney. I humbly request that you agree to match this stake.

Not that I am against wagers, mind you, I just don't see this one as a fair one for Morgan. I don't know if you know this Perci but you can't challenge for the title of Baron again this cycle anyway, so should you lose you would only be missing out on a ring in the Warlord's Tourney, granted you claimed a finalist spot and didn't have taking the title shot at the Overlord in mind in the first place. Not to meantion the fact that there may be no
rings open for this next tournament.
Unless Morgan had the right to take a ring in the next tournament should she lose and that Perci not be able to take a prize at all in the next tournament, this is a merc's wager of going against sanity. Where as Morgan will accept this wager merely because she believes she will win anyway and won't be pinned to the deal. Of course, the smart merc always jacks up the stakes if the odds look good.
Good idea, though. Wagers are always a fun plus in any challenge matches.

I remember that bet too. Just because I can challenge for Overlord next cycle doesn't mean I have to challenge for Overlord. Of course, just because I don't have to doesn't mean I won't. It sounds like something to be considered carefully before a decision is made, neh Sartan? And I don't think I care to make any public statements regarding Overlord challenges this cycle, or even necessarily next cycle. If I ever challenge for Overlord, I am pretty
sure people will notice when I do. If I don't challenge for Overlord, there won't be anything to notice.
I would prefer to wait and see what happens with this challenge before I begin to discuss the next one, myself. Details like that can be important to future decisions. Or not. There is also another question. Do I want to be Overlord? That is something for people to think about asking before they ask whether or not I will challenge for the title.
